Games Workshop has revealed what’s coming for pre-order next weekend and while one thing is expected there’s a whole lot that’s not.

The General’s Handbook 2020 is coming for Warhammer Age of Sigmar. The book comes with balance adjustments, new ways to play battles in the skies, rules to create your own bespoke heroes, and complete rulesets for multiplayer gaming. On top of the regular release, there’s a “Warlord Edition” which includes tokens and reference cards as well as a digital release.

Blood Bowl is full of unexpected releases. Games Workshop is making up for a gap with lots of new interesting teams and more.

Spike! Journal 9 focuses on hybrid teams, yes, teams made up of multiple other teams. The magazine features three different categories of mixed teams, Chaos Renegades, Underworld Denizens, and Old World Alliance Teams.

Underworld Creepers

The Underworld Creepers are made up of Goblins and Skaven all in one kit. You get sprues for each giving you extra balls, team tokens, and trackers, and transfer sheets. Even better, each team member has a unique pose since no sprues are repeated.

Middenheim Maulers

The Middenheim Maulers brings together Humans, Dwarves, and Halfling players. Along with the players, you get team accessories and balls from the Human and Dwarf frames.

You can keep track of things with the Old World Alliance Team Card Pack.

And teams need a place to play! A new double-sided pitch is being released that covers both Old World Alliance and Underworld Denizens arenas. It features themed pitches and dugouts as well.

Soulless Fury by Will McDermott will be out in paperback and eBook focusing on Mad D’onne’s wanton bloodshed and Scrutinator Primus tasked with tracking her down and bringing her to justice.

Black Library is also brining back Inferno! magazine for two weeks only! These ten issues will be available as Print on Demand in perfect facsimiles of the original magazine.
