Star Trek comes to Star Realms

Star Realms

In the latest announcement for the UniVersus card game, it was revealed that UVS Games and Wise Wizard Games are teaming up to bring Star Trek to Star Realms with Star Trek Star Realms. Star Realms is a spaceship combat deckbuilding game, so bringing the Star Trek universe into this game makes perfect sense. While this is the first franchised collaboration for Star Realms, it will be fully compatible with other Star Realms games and expansions.

In Star Realms, as you play, you trade to add new ships and bases to your deck. When played, those ships and bases generate powerful effects, additional trade, and combat to attack your opponent and their bases. If you reduce your opponent’s score to zero, you win!

Star Trek Star Realms is a 2-4 player game featuring starships from Star Trek: Next Generation and will be available in Q3 this year.

Godzilla Challenger Series, Star Trek, and TEKKEN 8 are joining UniVersus!

The Godzilla saga is long and rich, full of friends and foes of the King of the Monsters. All the monsters in the Godzilla universe are essential to its incredible story. UVS Games has revealed the key art of the two Godzilla Challenger Series that will hit the local game stores for UniVersus on June 21st. Each Challenger Series features two iconic characters. Godzilla teams up with Mothra while King Ghidorah joins forces with Rodan. This Challenger Series offers a ready-made deck showcasing these amazing kaiju characters.

Mothra is known as the benevolent kaiju protector of Earth and Infant Island. Do you hear the people of Infant Island singing its song from far away? If you do, then you know how Mothra will rise. This kaiju fights foes with major wing flapping and spewing silk webs. That means the fights can sometimes be sticky!

King Ghidorah is the three-headed dragon and Godzilla’s ultimate archnemesis since 1964. When they face off against each other, you can expect a lot of destruction caused by King Ghidorah’s devastating gravity beams and Godzilla’s powerful heat-ray. Nobody should have to fight against this terrorizing “Monster Zero” at any time. That’s because three heads can mean three times the damage

Rodan is a powerful pterosaur kaiju who often fights against Godzilla. But when the King of the Monsters squares off against a celestial threat like King Ghidorah, Rodan will join other Earth kaiju like Mothra and bravely assist Godzilla! Which side is Rodan on? Time will only tell how the flying menace plays out in Godzilla’s destiny…

In addition, each Challenger Series will feature their very own bonus, mechanically unique, Mechagodzilla character cards. Godzilla and Rodan will be joined by the machine dragon, Kiryu, the third generation of Mechagodzilla. The extraterrestrial first generation of Mechagodzilla, the Bionic Menace will join King Ghidorah and Rodan.

It also introduces the style of the block print alt-art cards. The Challenger Series is great because the pre-constructed deck features iconic characters, but it also includes a collector’s booster pack that contains a pack of foil alt-art cards. This pack serves not only as an enhancement for your deck but also as a gateway to the visually stunning worlds UniVersus brings to you. The Collector’s Booster Pack is an exceptional choice for passionate collectors seeking to elevate the allure of their decks.

Players can preorder now at their local game store.

Star Trek will join UniVersus as Star Trek: Lower Decks Challenger SeriesStar Trek: Lower Decks is a popular animated series written by Mike McMahan about the Starfleet crew who reside in the “lower decks” of the U.S.S. Cerritos.

This action-comedy animated series is a sitcom that has delighted Star Trek fans, while the fine balance of humor and dedication to the Star Trek franchise is pure gold. There will be four Challenger Series, each with unique character cards. Players can expect to see characters such as Ensign Beckett Mariner, Ensign Brad Broimler, Ensign D’Vana Tendi, and Ensign Sam Rutherford.

TEKKEN 8

And lastly, it’s been a while since UVS Games released a fighting game franchise product. UVS Games has also announced that they will partner with Bandai Namco Entertainment for an upcoming TEKKEN 8 UniVersus CCG product. This release will feature characters from the recently released and critically acclaimed entry in the Tekken franchise. We will continue to release more information, so make sure to follow us on our social media.
