Games Workshop Pre-Order Preview: Slaves to Darkness and more arrive for Age of Sigmar plus Horus Heresy, Necromunda, and more!
It’s a pretty big pre-order week for Age of Sigmar and Horus Heresy next week as Games Workshop has revealed what’s coming.
The Slaves to Darkness Army Set is the big item delivering a new battletome and lots of new figures. It features 14 new miniatures including a Daemon Prince, 10 Chaos Chosen, and three Ogroid Theridons. It also includes a special edition of the Slaves to Darkness battletome featuring rules you need to field your army. There are also Warscroll Cards, 28 Enhancement Cards, and 34 tokens to keep track of special rules.
That’s not the only force to be reconned with. Battletome: Ogor Mawtribes will also be available to order. It features the rules you need to field this force and you can choose between the regular edition or the limited edition that’ll only have 500 copies worldwide.
The Vanguard: Ogor Mawtribes is an easy want to start or expand your force. It features a Tyrant, six Ogor Gluttons, two Mournfangs, four Leadbelchers, and an Ironblaster which can be built as a Gnoblar Scraplauncher.
The Bloodpelt Hunter hunts large creatures in the Mortal Realms. They sneak into position hunting with their skullshatter crossbow, impaling spear, or hacker-axe and meatblade.
Maneaters will actually eat anybody. The mercenaries can be added to Battle with the Ex-mercenary Command Trait.
Keep track of your rules with the Ogor Mawtribes Warscroll Cards that feature 28 cards and 34 tokens.
Ogor Mawtribes Dice features 20 six-sided dice themed around the army.
And if neither of those armies is your thing, Vanguard: Sylvaneth will help you grow your force. It includes a Branchwych, three deadly Kurnoth Hunters, and five Tree-Revenants that can be assembled as Spite-Revenants. Finally, there’s a Treelord that can be a Treelord Ancient or a Spirit of Durthu.
Finally, there’s the Sons of Behemat Warscroll Cards which contains 12 reference cards as well as tokens to help keep track of your game.
Warhammer: The Horus Heresy has a lot of releases as well.
Liber Imperium – Forces of the Emperor Army Book covers the Imperial army including Solar Auxilia, as well as the Sisters of Silence, Legio Custodes, and the seven deadly Clades of the Officio Assassinorum.
The Officio Assassinorum has three new agents for the battlefield. The Clade Venenum Assassin tailors its venom for maximum lethality. The Clade Vanus Infocyte Assassin misdirects enemies. Finally, the Clade Adamus Assassin updates the classic Assassin butchering opponents with its blades in combat.



The Solar Auxilia Tank Crew adds extra firepower and features two pintle-mounted multi-lasers and a pintle-mounted heavy flamer.
Solar Auxilia Surgeon-Primus Aevos Jovan and Medicae Orderlies bring their surgical skills to the battlefield. The set features Jovan, his staff of two medical orderlies, and an unfortunate wounded soldier strapped to an auto-gurney.
Solar Auxilia Rapier Batteries provide fire support to Solar Auxilia armies. Rapier Batteries can have gravis multi lasers or quad launchers. The kit features two crew.
Upgrade kits continue and now it’s Iron Hands Upgrades! Grab shoulder pads for your Mark II, Mark IV, and Cataphractii Terminators, and some Mark III torsos for your X Legion warriors.




There’s also the Night Lords Upgrades. Upgrade your Mark II and Mark III Space Marines with shoulder pads, and your Mark IV troops with torsos.



Necromunda gets some releases as well!
Goliath Vehicle Gang Tactics features 26 cards including 8 blank cards.
Add some scenery with the Promethium Tanks Refuelling Station. They’re solid objectives for the games and can be assembled in multiple ways. You can also use them to refuel your scare weapons in the game!
If you want yours portable, then get the Promethium Tanks on Cargo-8 Ridgehauler Trailer. It’s compatible with the Cargo-8 Ridgehauler and great for scenarios.
Goliath Ash Wastes Upgrades will help your gang survive the wasteland. It features alternate heads and optional equipment. The backpacks are designed to be used with the Goliath Gang kit.
Black Library has a few releases.
Shadowsun: The Patient Hunter is a new novel by Phil Kelly. When Death Guard attack the Starside Nexus, Shadowsun must find a way to defeat them. This limited edition hardback is limited to 2,000 copies.
Only War: Stories from the 41st Millennium features 24 short stories from 21 different authors.
Conquest Unbound: Stories from the Mortal Realms features 21 stories from 15 authors set in the world of Warhammer: Age of Sigmar.
Kragnos: Avatar of Destruction gets a paperback edition and pits the End of Empires against the forces of Order.
Inferno! Presents: The Emperor’s Finest features 12 short stories and is available in paperback and eBook.
The Curse of Khaine gets an audiobook version.
German editions of Dark Imperium: The Omnibus, Dark Imperium, and Dark Imperium: Plague War are being released.
