Gen Con Has Sold Out of 4-Day and Saturday Badges, Thursday Going Soon
Gen Con has announced that it has sold out of 4-Day and Saturday Badges, setting a record for the number of 4-Day badge-holders. The convention also anticipates that Thursday Badges will reach a sellout prior to the convention opening this week. Gen Con will alert attendees of any badge sellouts via Facebook, Twitter, and email newsletter. Those interested in attending the convention on Thursday, Friday, or Sunday can purchase badges at gencon.com while limited supplies remain.
The convention has sold more 4-Day Badges than ever before in Gen Con’s 52-year history.
In addition to online sales, Gen Con plans to sell limited quantities of the remaining single-day badges (Thursday, Friday, and Sunday) at the Indiana Convention Center, beginning at noon on Wednesday, July 31.
Gen Con returns to the Indiana Convention Center from Thursday, August 1 through Sunday, August 4. Gen Con’s Thursday and Friday Badges are $60 for each day, and Sunday Badges cost $15. Children 10-and-under may attend any day of the convention for free with a child wristband. All badges and child wristbands may be pre-ordered at gencon.com for Will Call pickup at the convention center while supplies last.
For those who can’t make it to Indianapolis for the convention, there is something new: Pop-Up Gen Con brings the convention experience to local game stores across the country! Last year, Visit Indy estimated that Gen Con provided more than $70 million in economic value for Central Indiana, and this year, the convention expects that number to rise.
