Jean Grey and Cassandra Nova are Coming to Marvel: Crisis Protocol

Atomic Mass Games has released a teaser image of Jean Grey and Cassandra Nova. The two will be released in a pack together for the game Marvel: Crisis Protocol. Jean Grey is one of the more high-profile X-Men who hasn’t been released yet and Cassandra Nova is one of the more obscure villains.

Jean Grey debuted in X-Men #1 in 1963 and was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. One of the founding X-Men, she has telepath and telekinesis. The miniature for the game takes inspiration from her 1990s outfit design, one also close to the animated series look for the character.

Cassandra Nova first appeared in New X-Men #114 in July 2001. Created by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely, the character is a “mummudra”, a parasitic life form born bodiless on the astral plane. The character features psionic powers and to create a body. In the “only can happen in comics”, Nova is a parasitic twin of Charles Xavier copying his DNA to make her own body. She’s the dark shadow compared to Xavier and commanded the army of Sentinels that committed genocide and murdered 16 million mutants in Genosha.
