Here are the details on this new encounter, which sees more studious agents given their chance to shine, as they confront a notorious cult and an ancient horror during the terror of the Blitz.
A Race Against Time Versus the Enemy Within!
At the height of the Blitz, mysterious coded radio messages are drifting across London’s airwaves, and Section M’s analysts at Clemens Park want to know why.
With no front-line troops readily available, a group of more academically-minded agents are drafted in to investigate. The signals are traced to an anonymous North London terraced house and a daring raid reveals the presence of an ancient anti-monarchical cult, who are using the confusion of the Luftwaffe’s nightly bombing raids to further their own dark agenda. So begins a desperate race against time, as Section M’s studious operatives trace radio signals to their source, employ code and cipher breaking, and embark on a desperate chase across London to piece together the evidence, which leads to the terrifying discovery that the cult intend to conduct eldritch rites in the capital itself.
As the Luftwaffe’s bombs start to rain down during another night raid, can the agents find the rite’s location, foil the plans of this sinister cult, and prevent the return of a native horror which has lain dormant down the ages?

Discover the Secret of Skellen Island!
It is August 1940 and from the small Dutch fishing town of Nermegen, reports reach Britain’s Section M of a strange installation being constructed on the nearby Skellen Island. They also confirm the presence of Nachtwölfe, the Night Wolves, a Nazi occult organisation devoted to weird science and eldritch technology, who are said to rival Black Sun itself.
Seizing the opportunity, Section M dispatches a covert team by submarine to learn more about Nachtwölfe’s plans. Once in situ, the agents must contact the fledgling local resistance and gather detailed intelligence. Why are Nachtwölfe here? What happened at the forbidden site near the Arn river? What are these Night Wolves doing at St Olaf’s lighthouse?
The agents must piece together several component parts of this mystery, before finding a way to approach the heavily guarded Skellen Island itself. There, they’ll encounter advanced technology, strange, modified creatures, and face a deranged Nachtwölfe commander, intent on completing a bizarre bio-experiment, before confronting the horrifying truth which lies at the heart of Installation 41 itself.

Players must discover the truth behind the Mythos’ influence as conflict engulfs the globe during the most significant conflict in world history.

All stand firm against the twisted might of the Nazis and their occult forces, including the Cult of the Black Sun, who wield foul magic and summon ancient horrors in their bid to unleash Yog-Sothoth and Nachtwölfe, the Night Wolves, who place their trust in weird science and wonder weapons to prevail.

This intriguing new set reintroduces the Mi-Go as a major force in the Achtung! Cthulhu universe ahead of our 2d20 version of the game and these nine models can also be used for both tabletop and wargaming adventures. Here are the details on the new Expedition set!
The Mi-Go are a strange marriage of sentient fungus and subjugated insectoid from beyond the far reaches of the solar system and they came to earth millennia ago, establishing hives in the remoter corners of the planet for their own strange purposes: benign or malevolent who can truly say for the Mi-Go’s motivations are almost unknowable to the minds of men.
The most commonly encountered Mi-Go force in the Secret War is an Expedition, a combined force of Drones and Augmented Mi-Go, a small but potent battle group who are dispatched to secure artefacts, land, or perhaps even specimens for the Mi-Go’s bizarre, unholy bio-experiments.
This force comprises four standard Drones and five Augmented Mi-Go. The Drones are formidable enough foes in their own right with savage claws and pincers, but the Augmented Mi-Go boast an array of additional armour and powerful weaponry, it only the brave or the foolish who would stand in their way!

Modiphius Entertainment has announced they are working to bring their tabletop gaming universe Achtung! Cthulhu to the big screen. The company has signed script writer Dirk Vandereyken and director Raine McCormack to work on the film adaptation.
The Achtung! Cthulhu setting uses the writings of H.P. Lovecraft – arguably the most influential horror author ever – and the events unfolding just before and during World War II as source material to unveil the horrific secret history of what was actually going on behind the scenes. It presents a nightmarish alliance of science and the occult, frightening inhuman conspiracies from the depths of time and unbelievable war machines created just as much by the infernal ovens of the German factories as by dark incantations chanted by a select group of immoral, Cthulhu-worshiping Nazi researchers. It also features the heroes of the time, flawed but courageous human beings making a stand in the idle hope of postponing the inevitable demise of humankind foretold in antediluvian manuscripts tucked away in hidden corners of the world’s greatest museums.
Many of the characters, villains and creatures in the film are drawn from the pages and inspirational graphic art of the critically acclaimed Achtung! Cthulhu books and will also be making an appearance in Dark Tales, an anthology of short stories set in the same universe, whilst Modiphius has just launched a large range of collectible miniatures based on the universe.
Modiphius Entertainment was launched in 2013 with the Kickstarter hit for Achtung! Cthulhu, a tabletop roleplaying game, raising over £200,000 in funding, and unlocking 11 books and over 2000 pages of storyline inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu Mythos. A subsequent Kickstarter by Paris-based Devil Pig Games this Summer raised £150,000 for a licensed boardgame based on Achtung! Cthulhu which showed the brand has huge potential and Modiphius has also raised £150,000 for the reboot of the massive 90’s gaming brand Mutant Chronicles. Modiphius recently announced a co-operative boardgame based on the Thunderbirds license with designer Matt Leacock at the helm.
The team is already in talks with film investors and have begun preliminary casting. Achtung! Cthulhu – The Secret War will be following the usual process for feature film funding, with shooting slated for Summer 2015. Modiphius is considering a Kickstarter in the Spring of 2015 to top up the budget as well as funding a series of roleplaying supplements and other games tied in to the storyline of the movies. Achtung! Cthulhu is envisaged as a series of films following the exploits of various characters through the Secret War and will be accompanied by a special web series for fans.
Spartan Games and ModiphiusEntertainment have announced a team-up to bring us some new projects starting in 2014, the first of which is Achtung! Cthulhu Skirmish Game, to be launched in Spring 2014. Building on the massive range of Cthulhu creatures, Allied Investigators and Nazi Villains funded by the Achtung! Cthulhu Kickstarter, Spartan Games will launch a full-blown skirmish game line under license from Modiphius.
The Achtung! Cthulhu Skirmish Game will utilise the fast-paced, action-packed rules used in Spartan’s Dystopian Legions game, and plans for the range include starter sets, faction sets, hero sets, large creature sets and experimental vehicles, as well as a full-colour stand alone rulebook.
The first range of 49 miniatures, sculpted by Russ Charles, will be extended to include more Mythos creatures, Nazi Villains, Allied Heroes and strange experimental vehicles. Spartan plan to utilise their hugely popular laser-cut scenery line to add some stunning battlefield scenic accessories so that players can bring to lifesome of the stranger aspects of the Achtung! Cthulhu world, whilst Spartan’s high quality resins will allow some truly larger-than-life Cthulhu creatures and war machines to dominate the battlefield.
