Call of Duty comes to the tabletop with a new board game

Call of Duty: The Board Game

Arcane Wonders has announced a long-term partnership with Activision Publishing, Inc., Genuine Entertainment, and Evolution to produce Call of Duty: The Board Game, a new strategy game series inspired by the popular video game franchise. Pre-orders for the board game will open on Kickstarter this Fall 2023 and roll out into retail worldwide in 2024.

Call of Duty: The Board Game combines elements of strategy, tactical planning, and combat to create an intense and immersive gaming experience. Players take on the roles of elite soldiers, battling against each other in intense, fast-paced action set in the iconic maps from the Call of Duty video games. 

The original game will feature stunning artwork and high-quality components, including miniatures of the iconic soldiers and weapons from the Call of Duty franchise, as well as a variety of scenarios and gameplay modes that allow players to savor and share the excitement of Call of Duty in a whole new way. 

Freedom Five, A Sentinel Comics Board Game Coming from Arcane Wonders and Greater Than Games

Arcane Wonders is partnering with Greater Than Games for the upcoming game Freedom Five, A Sentinel Comics Board Game. Designed by renowned designers Richard Launius, Adam Sadler, and Bradey Sadler and published as part of the Dice Tower Essentials line.

Freedom Five is a cooperative strategy game in which 1-5 heroes race to protect their home city and its inhabitants from an onslaught of villainy. Each player must master their character’s unique abilities to manage multiple crises throughout the city of Megalopolis. Assemble your friends to face standalone challenges, or mix it up and adventure through a series of campaign comics where you will gain rewards ⁠— and new threats ⁠— every session.

Immerse yourself in the world of Sentinel Comics and test your wits against a dastardly smart “A.I.” in the newest evolution of the Defenders of the Realm series by Richard Launius.

Gen Con 2018: Asmodee Reveals New Digital Games including Gloomhaven!

Asmodee Digital announced at their Gen Con press conference that Gloomhaven is in development and scheduled to launch on Steam Early Access in Q1 2019. Alongside Gloomhaven, Asmodee Digital provided updates on some of the most anticipated games in their digital catalogue including Five Tribes, Bang!, Onitama, Munchkin, The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game, and Mansions of Madness: Mother’s Embrace, and also console games with the famous Ticket to Ride on Playlink for PS4 and Carcassonne on Nintendo Switch.

Developed by Flaming Fowl Studios, Gloomhaven is a dungeon-crawling RPG featuring tactical turn-based combat, and for the first time, an infinitely replayable roguelike mode that will be available during Early Access launch and beyond. Set in a medieval fantasy world, players will struggle to survive through procedurally generated dungeons filled with deadly enemies, equipment to find, and powerful abilities to unlock, with much more in the works for the full launch.

Designed by Isaac Childres, the Gloomhaven board game launched in 2017, raising $4.4 million between two successful Kickstarter campaigns. Since launch, Gloomhaven has received extremely positive reviews from critics and has been rated the “No. 1 Board Game Of All Time” by BoardGameGeek where it also won six Golden Geek Awards.

Meet Sergio Halaban from 1:00 to 4:00 on Friday!

Hear ye, hear ye! Good merchants take heed! The honorable Sheriff of Nottingham shall be honoring Gen Con on Friday with his presence at the Arcane Wonders booth numbered 839. Not only will their most gracious sheriff be attending, but honored guest Sergio Halaban, designer of the Sheriff of Nottingham board game will be at the booth from 1:00 to 4:00 PM!

You heard correctly! Both Sergio Halaban, the designer of the hit game Sheriff of Nottingham AND Kevin Burkhardsmeier of Board Game Theater will be at the Arcane Wonders booth on Friday at Gen Con!

Definitely stop by the booth to take some pictures, have your copy of Sheriff of Nottingham signed, and try out the hit game Sheriff of Nottingham! We’ve even heard rumor that Sergio and the Sheriff may be handing out a hard-to-find promo card while they’re at the booth!

Arcane Wonders and Publisher Services, Inc. (PSI) have announced a partnership regarding the launch of a sales and fulfillment program. PSI is a leading supplier of quality games, toys, books, and collectibles. Through this partnership PSI will be the exclusive sales and operations team responsible for Arcane Wonders sales, warehousing and shipping to all North American markets and International Hobby.

Arcane Wonders product will be available from PSI effective immediately. Arcane Wonders has found success over the past year with their games Sheriff of Nottingham and Mage Wars, and the recent release of Mage Wars Academy.
