Revealed was the new Astra Militarum army set. The box set features 20 Cadian Shock Troops, a Command Squad, a Field Ordnance Battery, and a Sentinel. It also features the new codex.

The Cadian Shock Troops differ from regular Infantry Squads leaving their heavy weapons behind for more mobility.

The Cadian Command Squads issue orders and rally nearby Guardsmen when the battle gets a little rough.

New are Field Ordnance Batteries. These are in addition to the usual heavy weapons delivering more of a punch. Large-bore cannons, multi-missile launchers, and heavy overcharged lascannons are coming to blast bigger holes in the enemy forces.

Field Ordnance Batteries

The new Sentinel kits have already been revealed and it allows to build them as well as the classic Scout Sentinels.

A new Commissar is coming to watch over forces.

Commissar

Also, Heavy Weapons Teams continue to help deliver a bigger blast. Heavy bolters, lascannons, autocannons, and mortars are back with their spotters, loaders, and sergeants to allow you to build mini dioramas.

The biggest news is how regiments work. The new codex goes a little retro allowing to mix squads. Players instead create Regimental Doctrines that fit play styles using two doctrine rules. While iconic regiments will be represented by these, you’ll be able to combine and pick whichever you choose.
