Age of Sigmar’s 2020 General’s Handbook and Blood Bowl are this week’s Games Workshop Pre-Orders

Games Workshop has new items available pre-order covering Warhammer: Age of Sigmar and Blood Bowl!

The General’s Handbook 2020 is available for Warhammer: Age of Sigmar. The book comes with balance adjustments, new ways to play battles in the skies, rules to create your own bespoke heroes, and complete rulesets for multiplayer gaming. On top of the regular release, there’s a “Warlord Edition” which includes tokens and reference cards as well as a digital release. You can get the “Warlord Edition” for $75 and the regular edition for $35. You can also get a digital version.

Blood Bowl is full of unexpected releases. Games Workshop is making up for a gap with lots of new interesting teams and more.

Spike! Journal 9 focuses on hybrid teams, yes, teams made up of multiple other teams. The magazine features three different categories of mixed teams, Chaos Renegades, Underworld Denizens, and Old World Alliance Teams. The magazine is $15. A digital version is also available.

Underworld Creepers

The Lumineth Realm-lords Have Arrived for Pre-Order

With a heavy focus on Warhammer 40,000, Games Workshop‘s gaze turns upon Age of Sigmar for this week’s releases.

The Lumineth Realm-lords Army Set is now up for pre-order allowing you to bring the updated High Elves to the battlefield.

The box set is limited in quantity and has almost everything you need to bring your army to the table. Numerous kits give you options how you want to arm your forces and it’s all led by the Light of Eltharion.

The kits will be available as separate kits but there are exclusives within the box you won’t be able to get on their own. Along with miniatures you get rules and lore you’ll need as well as accessories you’ll need to game.

This limited set retails for $185.

A trio of books are available from Black Library. Mephiston: City of Light continues Darius Hinks’ series following the most sinister champions of the Space Marines, The Court of the Blind King puts you at the heart of the undersea intrigues of the Idoneth Deepkin, while Titandeath is an epic war story from Guy Haley that sees Titans clash in one of the fiercest conflicts of the Horus Heresy.

White Dwarf 454 is up for pre-order. It’s a 160-page “mega-size” issue. The issue features “Index Xenos: Godd Orks” with 3 datasheets for open play (and hints of Goff Rockers), new rules for Aeldari Harlequins, a battle report featuring Lumineth Realm-lords, Lumineth Realm-lords in Warcry, Sisters of Silence rules for Kill Team, and articles for Warhammer Underworlds, Blood Bowl, Middle-Earth Strategy Battle Game, and more! Games Workshop and Black Library announce Indomitus: The Novel

With the contents of the 9th edition starter box for Warhammer 40,000 revealed, you’ll be able to dive deeper into the Indomitus Crusade with a tie-in novel. Coming from Black Library is Indomitus by Gav Thorpe.

Ultramarines attached to Crusade Feelt Quintus encounter Necrons in the Pariah Nexus. Faced with a choice between saving billions of souls and bringing word of xenos horrors to Primarch Guilliman, they must make a difficult decision.

The novel will be available as a hardback, eBook, MP3 audiobook and there are also two special editions. The special editions will also contain an additional short story featuring Ultramarines and Necrons. The novel will be available around the same time as the new boxed set.

It’s Zoats and War of the Spider in Games Workshop’s Next Week Pre-Orders

A “classic” returns next week as the updated Zoat is released for Warhammer Quest: Blackstone Fortress. “Deadly Alliance” is a new quest to quell the Seethe, a maze of shifting chambers. The expansion also has rules for using the Zoat in games of Warhammer 40,000 where it can join any army.

Psychic Awakening gets an entry in the series with Psychic Awakening: War of the Spider. The book sees the return of Fabius Bile who also gets a new miniature. Returning to the ruins of Cadia, Bile is hunted by the Death Guard and Imperial Agents. The book has rules for Death Guard, Adeptus Custodes, Sisters of Silence, Imperial Assassins, and Creations of Bile, a new way to play Chaos Space Marines.

There’s a new release from Black Library. Manflayer has Fabius Bile working on his New Men but the monstrous haemonculi of the Thirteen Scars have another idea. This is the third book in the Fabius Bile series and will be available in hardback, MP3 audiobook, and eBook versions.

Games Workshop Pre-Orders Return with New Psychic Awakening and Adeptus Mechanicus

Games Workshop has re-opened, not just with their store but also with new releases. The first new releases in a while are available now for pre-order in this very Warhammer 40K heavy release week.

If you’re an Adeptus Mechanicus player, you have a lot of options available to you!
