It’s an intriguing light week for next week’s Games Workshop pre-orders with multiple releases from Black Library being the highlight.
Creed: Ashes of Cadia picks up decades since the Fall of Cadia. Ursula Creed heads to the shattered remains of the Cadian homeworld, a broken hellscape of deadly secrets. The book by Jude Reid will be available as a regular hardback, eBook, and audiobook formats as well as a fantastic Special Edition.
The Special Edition is embossed with a cloth cover with shining gold foil and includes the extra short story Creed: Chains of Command. Each of the 1,750 limited copies is individually numbered and signed by the author.
Valdor: Birth of the Imperium by Chris Wraight takes us to the beginning of the Unification Wars, where the warlords of Old Terra have fallen and questions on the fate of the Thunder Warriors must be answered. Change rarely comes bloodlessly in the 31st Millennium, and Valdor has a web of intrigue to navigate if the nascent Imperium is to claim its destiny among the stars.
Blood of the Emperor is an anthology of short stories from Graham McNeill, Nick Kyme, David Guymer, Andy Clark, Mike Brooks, and Chris Wraight each taking on one of the Primarchs. It’s getting an audiobook release.
The Horus Heresy Collection expands in French and German for the first time. Collection X includes the novels Scars by Chris Wraight, Vengeful Spirit by Graham McNeill, and The Damnation of Pythos by David Annandale, while Sammelband XI collects Legacies of Betrayal and War Without End – each a compilation of many separate short stories – and Deathfire by Nick Kyme into one convenient place. Both are getting a hardbook and eBook edition.
Warhammer Heroes Series 4 is getting a release in the United States, Germany, Japan, China, and Australia but you won’t be able to get it from the Games Workshop webstore. Series 4 comprises seven new miniatures from a variety of Space Marine squads, featuring Intercessors, an Assault Intercessor, a Heavy Intercessor, an Eliminator, and a Captain.
Unlike the previous series, this one is focused on Kill Team as a unique faction. Each figure comes with a Kill Team datacard with full rules and a ploy for the team to use. All you need is six of the seven operatives to start playing the game!
Dubbed Strike Force Justian, it’s fully Matched Play legal and designed for new players to easily start playing.
White Dwarf 492 shows off the new Terminators, battleplans for four-player games of Warhammer: Age of Sigmar and more.
It’s another fairly light week for Games Workshop when it comes to pre-orders. Just one item for Warhammer 40K, Warhammer Underworlds, and Middle-Earth, are outnumbered by multiple paint sets.
Combat Patrol: World Eaters arrives allowing an easy way to build out or start your force. It features 20 Khorne Berzerkers and 10 Jakhals, led by the super-flexible World Eaters Lord on Juggernaut – who can also be built as Lord Invocatus.
Warhammer Underworlds: Wyrdhollow is the latest expansion featuring two warbands battling in the depths of Gnarlwood. You can get: The three Knights-Arcanum of Domitan’s Stormcoven spit holy lightning from their fingertips and quest in the name of Sigmar, while Ephilim the Unknowable – apprentice to one of Tzeentch’s infamous Gaunt Summoners – warps the energies of his own daemonic followers to cast powerful spells turn after turn. You also get four preconstructed decks, dice, tokens, rulebook, and game board.
Make your Middle-Earth Strategy Battle Games look better with the Amon Hen Fallen Head Statue. From Forge World recreate the climactic battle of the Fellowship of the Ring at Amon Hen.

Games Workshop has revealed what’s coming to pre-order next week. Breaking from the pattern, we get a second weekend in a row of Warhammer 40K releases along with a bunch for Necromunda.
Boarding Patrol: Adepta Sororitas will bring flame and melta to the heretics out there. A Canoness leads 5 Celestian Sacresants, 10 SIsters Repentia, and 10 Battle Sisters.
Boarding Patrol: Adeptus Custodes are the elite of the elite. It features 3 Allarus Custodians, 5 Custodian Guard, and Trajann Valoris.
Boarding Patrol: Thousand Sons is a solid start to a force featuring 2 Chaos Spawn, 20 Rubric Marines, and 2 Psykers.
The Aranthian Succession: Vaults of Temenos continues the Necromunda storyline. Cinderak City has fallen, but the succession crisis on Necromunda is far from over. A mysterious Prophet guides hordes of true believers on a pilgrimage to recover holy relics from the depths of Tenemos. The book includes new lore on the civil war, seven narrative scenarios, four Dramatis Personae central to the story, and new rules for House Cawdor and Palanite Enforcer gangs.
Enforcer ‘Sanctioner’ Pattern Automata are bigger, tougher dispensers of justice. They’ll look great in Palanite Enforcer patrols.
Cawdor Ridge Walkers are finally coming after being teased some time ago. They bring speed and are perfect for quick attacks to knock rivals off their game.
Cawdor Vehicle Gang Tactics Cards and Cawdor Dice Set will help keep things organized and show off your gang loyalty. There are 18 new cards for use in your Ash Wastes campaigns, plus eight Cawdor-branded blank cards.

It’s a big week for Games Workshop‘s world of Warhammer 40K in next week’s pre-orders. Arks of Omen continues as Vashtorr arrives!
Arks of Omen: Vashtorr is the third book in the Arks of Omen story. The story focuses on the siege of the Rock, as Vastorr searches for a powerful component in his diabolical goal. The Dark Angels aren’t taking this invasion lightly, and rally their forces as a mysterious third party enters the slaughter.
This is a big part of the narrative, not only featuring a book but a boxed set to go with it.
The book features The Rock Besieged, a Boarding Actions campaign with eight new narrative missions telling the story of the raid. There are also additional Boarding Action rules for Chaos Daemons, Necrons, Tyranids, Genestealer Cults, the Death Guard, and the Adeptus Mechanicus.
Arks of Omen: Vashtorr is also available in regular and Collector’s Edition which features a cover embossed with silver foil, printed page edges, and a black ribbon page marker.
You can play out Vashtorr’s invasion with the Wrath of the Soul Forge King box set. This is the first place you can get Vashtorr the Arkifane and Supreme Grand Master Azrael.

You’ll also find a cadre of five Sicarian Infiltrators – who can also be built as Ruststalkers – and a trio of heavily armed Kataphron Destroyers – which can also be built as Breachers.
Boarding Patrol: Chaos Daemons is a Khorne-flavoured Boarding Patrol with 10 Flesh Hounds and 10 Bloodletters led by Karanak, the Hound of Vengeance.
Boarding Patrol: Death Guard is led by a putrid Lord of Virulence, with three Deathshroud Terminators, and 10 Plague Marines.

The Middle-Earth Strategy Battle Game is getting a few releases.
Faramir, Madril and Damrod, Rangers of Ithilien were first found in The Lord of the Rings Battle of Osgiliath boxed set. These versatile and mighty heroes are now available together in their own box, each with a choice of ruins or wooded scenery for their base.

The End and the Death Volume I by Dan Abnett is the culmination of the Siege of Terra. Terra’s final days are at hand. Warcry gets some big releases starting with Warcry: Sundered Fate. The Jade Obelisk or on a mission and the Hunters of Huanchi aren’t happy with the desecration. The boxed set features 23 miniatures, terrain, a gaming board, warband tome, fighter and ability cards, battleplan cards, and rules to play!
If you want some scenery, there’s also the Ravaged Lands: Gnarlwood Watchcamp. It collects a grisly glade of Ghurish terrain first released in Warcry: Heart of Ghur.
The Horns of Hashut are coming! The 10 miniatures, including Ruinators, Demolishers – one of whom is armed with the deadly Flamehurler – and Shatterers. They’re also usable in Slaves to Darkness armies for Warhammer Age of Sigmar.
Maybe the Rotmire Creed are more your thing? This warband contains a Witherlord, a Bloated One, two Carrion Catchers, and six Mirefolk Outcasts. The Rotmire Creed can also serve as a sneaky vanguard unit for the Maggotkin of Nurgle in Warhammer Age of Sigmar.
Warband Tome: Rot and Ruin is a 64-page book containing the background information for the Horns of Hashut and the Rotmire Creed. There are also quests for both warbands and two campaign arcs.
The original Warcry warbands are returning. You can pick up all of the original eight warbands from the eight Mortal Realms, plus the spidery Tarantulos Brood, the brutish Darkoath Savagers, and Khainite Shadowstalkers. These updated boxes don’t include fighter or ability cards, all those rules are free to download. And you can use them in Warhammer: Age of Sigmar!
There’s also returning Warcry Monsters! Use them in games of Warcry or as part of your Slaves to Darkness armies.
There’s also four dice packs coming. One for each of the Horns of Hashut, the Rotmire Creed, the Hunters of Huanchi, and the Jade Obelisk warbands.
In a bit of a surprise, Dungeon Bowl: Death Match is coming! This first expansion for Dungeon Bowl pits the College of Death against the College of Life in an almighty clash between two teams of mixed players, new Dungeon Tiles, tokens, and more.
Blood Bowl Spike! Presents: 2022 Almanac! will be available as a hardback or ePub collecting the Norse and Amazon issues of Spike!. There’s also rules for eight new star players.

Games Workshop has revealed what’s coming next week for pre-order. Kicking things off is Ka’bandha, Daemon General of Signus for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. The Daemon General is a force of nature who leaves battlefields drenched in blood in the name of Khorne. The miniature is resin and part of the Horus Heresy Character Series. It can be displayed with and without its horned helm. Rules are coming for The Horus Heresy.
For Necromunda, the Ironhead Squat Prospectors get the Vartijan Exo-Driller. With thick armor, it can survive a volley of enemy fire and give it back in return.
The Knight Questoris gets a release for Warhammer 40,000. They fill a wide variety of roles. The reboxed release can be built into one of the six Imperial Knight variants as well as Canis Rex. Or, how about a Chaos Knight Despoiler?
For Kill Team, the Corsair Voidscarred and Chaos Space Marine Legionaries get individual releases. They can also be used for Warhammer 40,000 delivering a dual release.
If you don’t have a copy, you can get the Kill Team: Nachmund rulebook. The softcover book features lore, missions, and cinematic killzone rules.

You’ll be able to get the Chaos Knights Army Set which allows for dozens of configurations as you build you machines of death. It’s the first place to get hold of the new Chaos Knights kits, the codex, and datacards. You can build a Knight Abominant as well as two War Dogs, great to reinforce your army or build a whole new one!
The codex is a special edition with a soft-touch cover. Also included are 50 datacards that feature generic stratagems for use by any Chaos Knight army, special stratagems for six individual Dread Houses, and six Warp Storm Discipline psychic powers. Also included is a transfer sheet with almost 600 decals!

The Imperium isn’t outdone. You can get Codex: Imperial Knights too! The new codex features all the rules you need to get them to the tabletop plus all the background you need to build out your force. You can get a Collector’s edition which features a soft-touch cover, ribbon bookmark, and grand glit lettering, or get the regular edition.
You can also get Imperial Knights Datacards which help you keep track of Stratagems and Knightly teachings during battle. . Also included are cards for the Households-specific Stratagems for House Terryn, House Griffith, House Cadmus, House Hawkshroud, House Mortan, House Raven, House Taranis, House Krast, and House Vulker.
You’ll be able to build your Imperial Knights force with Knight Armigers and Knight Dominus. The Knight Armigers feature two shooty Helverins or a pair of up-close-and-personal Warglaives – or one of each! You could also corrupt them and turn them to the forces of Chaos.
The Knight Dominus kit will now let you build the enemy-incinerating Knight Valiant or the bombarding Knight Castellan. Or, corrupt it to serve the Dark Gods!
War Zone Nachmund: Rift War also arrives concluding the event story.
