Diamond Comic Distributors has released its top products for December 2019. Critical Role: Tal’Dorei Campaign Setting was the top-selling item invoiced by dollars for the month. Paizo dominated the month though, taking 8 of the top 10 games for the month.
Geppi Family Enterprises (GFE), the parent entity of Diamond Comic Distributors, Alliance Games Distributors, and other Stephen A. Geppi-owned companies, has expanded its leadership team. In addition, it has announced changes to help expand into new product lines and markets to raise sales and profitability.
Formed in 2015, GFE was created to encompass all the companies owned by Diamond Comic Distributors’ Founder and President & CEO, Stephen A. Geppi. The holding entity is comprised of a dozen companies, among them Diamond Comic Distributors, Alliance Game Distributors, Diamond Select Toys, Baltimore Magazine, Hake’s Auctions, Diamond International Galleries, and Gemstone Publishing.
GFE has updated its current leadership structure to add an Office of The Chairman, comprised of Geppi as Chairman and CEO; current GFE Executive Representative, Joe Foss, who will serve as Vice Chairman; and Stan Heidmann, who will join the team as President.
Prior to joining GFE, Heidmann was Finance Division Executive – Revenue Management at PepsiCo, where he led their distribution, revenues and finance teams for the Mid-Atlantic region.
In addition to the hiring of Heidmann, Geppi also announced that he will be establishing an Advisory Board for the Geppi Family Enterprises level. The board will be comprised of accomplished executives from a variety of different industries, including the comic book industry.
Geppi also announced that both Diamond and Alliance Game Distributors are entering a new banking relationship with JP Morgan Chase. The new credit facility will support Diamond and Alliance’s efforts to expand, create new products, and raise profitability.
Diamond Comic Distributors has announced the top products for comics, graphic novels, toys, and games for April.
Steam Forged Games‘ Dark Souls Card Game, based on the best-selling video game, was April’s best-selling game product. Steam Forged Games also found success with the Dark Souls Board Game which came in at #4.
IDW Games had two products in the top ten: the Dragonball Z: Perfect Cell Game ranked #4 and The X-Files: Conspiracy Theory Game ranked #7. Also of note, Dynamite Entertainment‘s Vampirella Tarot Cards Set ranked #8.
The top roleplaying game product was Starfinder: Pact World from Paizo Publishing which came in at #9.

Diamond Comic Distributors has released the top selling products in March for comics, graphic novels, books, toys, and games. WizKids‘ Dungeons & Dragons: Icons of the Realm: Menagerie 3 Booster Brick was the top selling game related item for the month.
IDW Games had three products in the top ten: The Legend of Korra: Pro Bending Arena Game at #2, the Atari: Missile Command Game at #4, and The Legend of Korra: Pro Bending Arena: Amon’s Invasion Game at #5.
Mainstays like Dice Masters and Magic: The Gathering weren’t in the top ten.

Diamond Comic Distributors has released their top products for January 2018. Dynamite Entertainment‘s Vampirella Tarot Cards Set topped the list.
Wizards of the Coast had three entries on the list with Magic: The Gathering, while WizKids saw success with two slots for their Dice Masters. Hasbro‘s Dropmix Music Game System came in at number 10.
Also of note is Fantasy Flight‘s “Fantasy Flight Games Starter” a starter set of games for shops to quickly stock up on the publisher’s games. It could signal numerous comic shops branching out into gaming.

Shinobi 7 has announced an exclusive distribution deal with Diamond/Alliance for all sales channels. Under this agreement, Diamond/Alliance will distribute all upcoming Shinobi 7 products to the hobby gaming market, specialty comic shops, bookstores, and mass market. Current products already released by Shinobi 7 will soon be relisted with Diamond/Alliance.
In conjunction with the deal, Seven Seas Entertainment has acquired the complete ownership interest in Shinobi 7, which was initially formed as a joint venture between Seven Seas Entertainment and Ninja Division Publishing. Shinobi 7 is now a subsidiary of Seven Seas Entertainment and will operate under an independent management and production team.
Shinobi 7’s main focus continues to be the production and publishing of high quality tabletop games based on exciting licensed brands. To date, Shinobi 7 has released the following product lines, which are available through Ninja Division Publishing until March 15, 2018:
Tokyo Ghoul: The Card Game, a deck-building game adapted from the hit anime franchise about an alternate reality where monstrous ghouls and humans coexist.
My Little Pony: Tales of Equestria, a complete pen-and-paper roleplaying system based on the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic franchise.

Paizo Publishing’s Pathfinder RPG: Ultimate Wilderness Sourcebook was November’s best-selling game product and one of the nine Paizo products in the top ten. Also in the top ten, NECA/WizKids’ DC HeroClix: Harley Quinn and the Gotham Girls Booster Brick ranked #2.
