Games Workshop Pre-Order Preview: Warhammer 40K Battleforces, the final Cursed City expansion, Necromunda, and more arrive!

If you’re looking to start or expand your Warhammer 40K forces, next week is a great opportunity with the release of this year’s Battleforce boxes.

Necromunda gets a load of releases to help you dominate the Underhive and Ash Wastes.

Escher Cutters will have you speeding across the ash wastes in skimmers. The kit includes four machines that Leaders, Champions, and Prospects can ride. Options include heads, hair, and a choice of twin-linked heavy stubbers, grenade launchers, or plasma guns.

Go all in with Escher and also get Escher Tactics Cards and Ash Wastes Dice. There’s one for vehicles and another for battles in the underhive. Each contain 18 Escher specific cards and eight blank cards. The Tactics Cards contain new cards to use in the ash wastes, while the Escher Gang Tactics set is a reprint of a previous set, and the eight Escher-themed dice are coloured in stylish purple with luxurious golden ink. You get three regular D6s, three Necromunda injury dice, an ammo die, and a scatter die.

Forge World will release Athera, Blade of the Matriarch. Escher gangs can petition her for help with her master-crafted chainaxe. Athera is accompanied into battle by her grumpy Caryatid, Stix, who has the prescience to help them both avoid harm.

There’s also the Escher Shivver and Apprentice Clan Chymist. They’re a pair of specific Hangers-on. One can see into the future and the other reduces the choice of Chem-Alchemy Elixirs. Or maybe even turn deceased Matriarchs and Gang Queens into Death Maidens!

Forge World has a trio of new releases for Necromunda and Adeptus Titanicus.

There’s a lot of new releases for Necromunda through Games Workshop, but it’s not all Outcasts this week, Escher get a new tool at their disposal with the Escher Khimerix. This gene-spliced monstrosity has an appetite and is ready to do some damage. Retailing for $38, the Khimerix has furious strength mixed with cunning agility and hardy regeneration.

Adeptus Titanicus gets some new tools of war with the Armiger Knights and Mechanicum Knights Moirax. They’re tiny but they bring speed and firepower.

The Mechanicum Knights Moirax features three lightweight Mechanicum Knights. Use them to harass enemy Knights with esoteric weapons. The release includes a card Command Terminal with rules for your miniatures for $50.

Games Workshop newest pre-orders are here and it’s full of highly anticipated releases. There’s something for everyone this week!

For Warhammer: Age of Sigmar, Krondys and Karazai are coming! The Sons of Dracothian are here to fight on behalf of the Stormcast Eternals. Krondys brings powerful Draconith magic while Karazai lets his rage take over. The kit retails for $150.

Joining them are the Stormdrake Guard. These dragon-riding Stormcast pack a mighty punch, especially when fielded in all-dragon armies. You can also make them into Knight-Draconis. The kit retails for $110.

Fans of Blood Bowl have a lot coming.

Dungeon Bowl is the subterranean version of Blood Bowl. Full of chests and portals hiding the ball, the Colleges of Magic gather their teams to settle scores. The box set retails for $160 on the Games Workshop website but you can get it from other retailers for $136.

Expand your Goblin teams with accessories like a dice set, card pack, and double-sided pitch with dugouts. The dice retail for $18, the pitch retails for $47, and the cards retail for $27.

The Underhive Outcasts come to Necromunda! This new gang battles it out with the official Houses. While they may be outgunned, they make up for it in their numbers. The gang retails for $42.

You’ll need rules to play them and that’s where the Book of the Outcast comes in. The 136-page book features gang tactics, Hangers-on, Gang Strongholds, and Outcast scenarios as well as a whole Outlander Campaign, plus more! The physical book retails for $47 and a digital version is available.

Games Workshop is Back for Pre-Orders Next Week with Necromunda, Blood Bowl, Warhammer Underworlds: Direchasm, and More

After a few weeks of no new pre-orders, Games Workshop is back with a pretty packed week of new releases. You’ll be able to pre-order all of the below starting next Saturday!

Necromunda gets a new boxed set with Necromunda: Hive War. The new set has everything you need to play and a perfect way for new players to get into the game. The set comes with two gangs, Escher and Delaque with 10 plastic miniatures for each gang and a variety of weapons to arm them.

Also included is a 10-page softback rulebook which includes everything you need to play from how to generate gangs, to the rules, scenarios, and more.

There’s also modular scenary with which you can use to do battle as well as a double-sided gaming mat, dice, tokens, cards, and templates.

Also coming is a Necromunda Underhive Propaganda Transfer Sheet that features 499 decals that you can use to help make your scenery unique and add finishing touches to your own Underhive.

You’ll need to upgrade your gangs which means the need for new weapons. The Weapons & Upgrades Sets has you covered with over 60 alternative components to make your gang even more unique. Two will be released, one for Escher and one for the Goliaths. They include different heads, weapons, and more.

Blood Bowl is getting some love with new releases as well for the Chaos Chosen.

You can get a set of pitch and dugouts for the Chaos Chosen so you can play Blood Bowl honoring the Dark Gods.

Warhammer Underworlds gets two releases to expand your games with.

Hedkrakka’s Madmob is a new warband of four feral Orruks led by a mask-wearing Shaman. They’re an aggressive warband sure to mix games up and deliver new elements to the Underworlds.

Warhammer Underworlds: Silent Menace Universal Deck is an expansion perfect for every warband. It offers new card options and a greater variety of deckbuilding combos. The release features 32 cards – 12 objectives, 10 gambits, and 10 upgrades. They’re all themed around the treasures and tactics of Beastgrave’s Silent People. The set doesn’t include any spells meaning you don’t need a wizard to get everything out of it.
