WizKids has announced the upcoming release of Favelas, a fast moving Euro style game, designed by Christopher Bryan, coming to North American retail this October.

In Favelas, 2 – 4 players are in the running to oversee the beautification of the iconic Favelas of Rio de Janeiro. These neighborhoods, highly-stacked and ever-evolving, face many socio-economic challenges, but have benefited greatly from recent beautification and growing artist communities.

The bad new is that the council who will approve the funding is fickle and constantly returning with different suggestions that alter the value of the colors used in the beautification.

If you win the council’s favor it will all be worth it, but it will require a lot of careful consideration. Over three rounds (years), players will collect Victory Points by building different colored Favelas on their Player Boards. Each color has a different point value as dictated by the Beautification Council Guidelines. Collect the most Victory Points to win the game!
