Games Workshop Pre-Order Preview: The Dark Angels descend!
After their limited edition box set has come and gone, the Dark Angels begin to get their full release from Games Workshop. The much anticipated figure go on pre-order this coming Saturday. Also coming are new Black Library releases as well as Warhammer: The Horus Heresy.
Codex Supplement: Dark Angels arrives in a regular and limited edition. This is a must for those playing the army featuring datasheets, detachments, and the rules you need. It also features background, 16 unit datasheets, three detachments, and Combat Patrol rules. The collector’s edition features a soft-touch cover, unique cover art, bookmark, and gold foil blocking.
Asmodai, Master of Repentance is ready to hunt for the Fallen. The figure comes with two head choices, hood up or down.
Belial, Grand Master of the Deathwing is a warrior of prodigious skill. He also has two head choices, hood up or down.
The Inner Circle Companions are a mysterious group of elite warriors. They protect their commanders with zeal. Each miniature builds two poses, with two heads, two swords, and two backpack toppers each. It also contains a Dark Angels transfer sheer with 348 decals.
Deathwing Knights are part of the 1st Company, packed with veterans. These are the most skilled. They’re armed with sacred relic weapons and face down the direst threats. They can be armed with your choice of great weapon of the Unforgiven or a relic weapon, as well as power weapons and maces of absolution. THe kit comes with head options, teleport homer, a Watcher in the Dark, and Dark Angels transfer sheet containing 348 transfers.
If you want to give your Space Marines a Dark Angel spin, you’ll want to get Dark Angels Upgrades and Transfers. It contains heads, arms, torsos, weapons, shoulder pads, as well as relics, and a Watcher in the Dark. There’s also a transfer sheet featuring 217 decals which is different than the one from the Inner Circle Companion and Deathwing Knight boxes.
There’s also Dark Angels Dice Set and Datasheet Cards. The dice feature 16 themed dice in bone white and green pips with the Chapter logo instead of a 6. The Dataheet cards organize the collection with 20 datasheets, 16 mainline Warhammer 40K units and 4 Combat Patrol cards.
For Warhammer: The Horus Heresy comes the Legiones Astartes – Siege Breaker Consul. Armed with a thunder hammer and phosphex bombs, this is an expert kit made from Forge World resin which comes with a choice of helmeted or unhelmeted heads.
Black Library has a few releases.
Lazarus: Enmity’s Edge by Gary Kloster has Lazarus and the Dark Angels’ 5th Company summoned to the Knight World of Reis by Supreme Grand Master Azrael to honor an ancient promise. This book will be available to pre-order in hardback, eBook and audiobook formats.
Cypher: Lord of the Fallen by John French is a first-hand account of a breakout from an imperial jail by the most unreliable of narrators… Cypher. You’ll be able to pre-order it in paperback format next week.
The End Times: Doom of the Old World features five stories. The Curse of Khaine by Gav Thorpe, The Rise of the Horned Rat by Guy Haley, The Lord of the End Times by Josh Reynolds, and two short stories, The Siege of Naggarond by Sarah Cawkwell and Bride of Khaine by Graeme Lyon. This collection will be available to pre-order in paperback and eBook formats.
The Purging of Kadillus by Gav Thorpe will be available in audiobook and follows the Dark Angels’ Captain Belial and the 3rd Company as they travel to Piscina IV to face off an immense ork invasion.
The next trio of Ciaphas Cain novels comes to Print on Demand. You can get Death or Glory, Cain’s Last Stand, and Duty Calls, all by Sandy Mitchell. The will be available to order from Saturday until March 3rd, and delivery may take up to 180 days.
