HeroQuest is Back through HasbroPulse
HeroQuest is getting a new physical release with updated miniatures through Hasbro‘s HasbroPulse HasLab crowdfunding platform and its Avalon Hill board game division. It’s currently available for those in the US and Canada (minus Quebec) and it’s unknown if it’s coming to other regions.
The updated Heroquest features updated miniatures and scenery though looks to be similar to the original release.
The miniature roleplaying fantasy board game is beloved having been released in 1989 by Milton Bradley and Games Workshop. Designed by Stephen Baker, the game was for 2 to 5 players that had players creating their own dungeon to quest in using tiles, miniatures for furnishings, and figures. The game received numerous expansions as well.
The new edition has two tiers, “Heroic” at $99.99 plus shipping and “Mythic” which costs $149.99 plus shipping.
The Heroic Tier includes the core HeroQuest game system (featuring 71 highly detailed character and furniture miniatures) as well as 4 bonus hero miniatures and 1 exclusive miniature only available during the HasLab campaign.
The Mythic Tier includes the Heroic Tier offer (featuring 71 highly detailed character and furniture miniatures as well as 4 bonus hero miniatures and 1 exclusive miniature only available during the HasLab campaign) as well as 2 game expansions, 2 more exclusive figures, and all available unlocks.
Unlocks include more characters, dice, miniatures, and quests.
As of this article, the fundraising campaign is already about two-thirds to its $1 million goal with 45 days to go. If it passes its goal, backers will be charged and the game will go into production.
