CMON’s Hate Gets an Oversized Trade Edition from Image and Top Cow

This December, following the wildly successful Kickstarter campaign for the Hate board game, Image Comics and Top Cow Productions will release an oversized trade paperback edition of Chronicles of Hate, collecting books one and two of internationally renowned artist Adrian Smith’s dark fantasy series.

Smith first came to prominence for his atmospheric, moody artwork and game illustrations for such popular franchises as Magic: The Gathering and Warhammer.

In a world where the sun is frozen and the moon burns, Chronicles of Hate follows an unlikely hero who rises to free the Earth Mother from her chains. This isn’t a world for the weak. All we know is Hate.

Chronicles of Hate, Collected Edition (Diamond code: OCT180056, ISBN: 978-1-5343-1144-2) hits comic book stores on Wednesday, December 5th and bookstores on Tuesday, December 11th.

Adrian Smith‘s Chronicles of Hate is now a board game by CMON currently being funded through Kickstarter. Hate is a board game of brutal combat and conquest in a desolate world of savage warriors. Created by the same design team who brought you the Zombicide series, under the supervision of Eric Lang, Hate combines the gruesome artwork of Adrian Smith with exquisitely sculpted miniatures to immerse you in a universe of cruel survival by any means.

Meant for mature audiences, the game is a miniature based board game where you battle your opponents leading a tribe hoping to achieve objectives, massacre the enemy, and reap rewards from blood and land. The base game is for up to 4 players and can be expanded up to 6 players.

The game is a Kickstarter exclusive and the core box and ancillaries can only be acquired through the crowdfunding campaign.

The game comes with 51 miniatures, 1 game board, 32 terrain tiles, 100+ tokens, 51 figure cards, 88 transparent upgrade/scar cards, 44 plastic card sleeves, 6 custom dice, 13 counter bases, 5 scenario dashboards, 1 village sheet pade, 1 chronicle sheet pad, and rulebook.

The game is listed as being released in January 2019.
