White Wizard Games is Now Wise Wizards Plus New Games Revealed

White Wizard Games LLC, the makers of Star Realms ​, announced today that they have changed the company name to Wise Wizard Games. As the company continues to expand, they want to have a name that best represents their vision and their community. The company has raised over $4.5M on Kickstarter, the Star Realms digital app has been downloaded over 1M times, and WWG had over 20% growth in revenues in 2020.

The company has plans for continued growth, including a new arena strategy game designed by Richard Garfield. Coinciding with this renaming, Wise Wizard Games launched an updated website and social media channels. Any new reprints going forward will use the updated company name. The short abbreviation for the company name (WWG), all SKU numbers, and the WWG hat logo remain unchanged to make the transition as easy as possible for their channel partners.

Wise Wizard Games announced new games in the design and development pipeline:

  • Riders of Chaos: An audacious arena battle game designed by Richard Garfield. Choose your skilled warrior, select your unpredictable beast, and play with crazy combos as you battle in the arena with stunning miniatures in an immersive play experience.
  • Robot Quest Arena: A deckbuilding game of robot battles! Do you have what it takes to be the best Robot Tech in the world? Control your adorable battle bot miniature with the skills of your driver and the cards in your deck! Acquire powerful new upgrades for your bot. Destroyed bots respawn each round, so you’re never out of the action!
  • Hero Realms: Dungeon of Thandar: An all-new adventure deckbuilding game box set that includes everything you need to adventure through the Dungeon of Thandar as your party fights off evil bosses and minions, leveling up and gaining skills, treasure, and magical items as they go!
  • Star Realms Rise of Empire: Before Star Realms, there was war and decimation. Rise of Empire tells the origin story of the Star Empire. In this legacy-style game, players will battle each other for survival, and in the end, will walk away with a fully playable Star Realms set that includes all-new factions!

New Hero Realms is Here this Summer

Hero Realms Ancestry Pack

New Hero Realms expansions are right around the corner with the first coming next week. The Hero Realms Ancestry Pack is out June 23, 2020 and retails for $9.99 per pack.

In this awesome new 20-card expansion pack, you can play Hero Realms as a Dwarf, Elf, Ogre, Orc, or Smallfolk. Each race comes with four cards.

You can use ANY race with a generic starting deck, or combine them with any character pack. So you could play as an ogre wizard, an elven ranger, a dwarven fighter, or any one of the dozens of new race-class combinations. That means tons of options for the makeup of your party for cooperative play, and literally hundreds of possible new PVP match-ups.

Hero Realms Journeys Packs

On July 21, 2020, Hero Realms Journeys Packs will come to stores. They retail for $4.99 per pack.

Journeys is a set of four 12-card expansion packs for Hero Realms! Conquest and Discovery add the new Quest and Artifact card types. Quests are secret objectives that players may complete to earn Artifacts! Hunters and Travelers add new champions and actions to the game.

The Hero Realms Adventure Storage Box retails for $29.99 and will be out July 21, 2020.

Every adventure needs a box for holding! Holds an entire Hero Realms collection, with or without sleeves, with room to spare for future sets and even a playmat! Includes 32 high-quality plastic dividers to separate cards by: Set, Market Deck, Fire Gems, Personal Decks, and Score Cards. Also contains 6 foam blocks to hold cards firmly in place and 1 promo card.

Part Two Of The Ruin of Thandar Campaign This cooperative expansion is part two of the Ruin of Thandar campaign. The Hero Realms campaign decks turn Hero Realms into a cooperative deckbuilding adventure game. Each player plays as the Ranger, Wizard, Cleric, Thief or Fighter and you work together to battle the villains! This expansion provides three unique missions for 1-5 players and contains 88 game cards, 14 oversized villain cards, and two booklets. Requires the Hero Realms Base Game, one Character Pack per player, and The Ruin of Thandar Campaign Deck.

Hero Realms at Gen ConWhite Wizard Games is bringing a bunch to Gen Con 2016 including some debuts! Check out below what you’ll find at the convention and their booth #2647.

Hero Realms at Gen Con

Fans are very excited about White Wizard Games’ newest game, Hero Realms, a fantasy-themed deckbuilding game. They raised over $555,000 from nearly 6,000 backers on Kickstarter. The company will have Hero Realms on-site at Gen Con.

White Wizard Games also now have a Late Backer option for anyone who missed the Kickstarter.

White Wizard Games will have the new Star Realms United expansion available for demos at Gen Con! There are five non-random expansion packs in the United Set.

The company will be doing demos of Star Realms, Epic Card Game, and Hero Realms at our booth 2647 and giving out Epic and Star Realms promo cards.  They also have an extensive White Wizard Games event schedule at Gen Con. They’ll be running four Qualifiers for the $100,000 Epic Card Game World Championship. Star Realms fans can compete in their Star Realms Legend Series event to become a character on a card in the Star Realms universe. And they will be running fun, casual events for Star Realms, Epic Card Game, and Hero Realms through Gen Con with lots of cool prizes.
