Japanime Games’ ZU Tiles: Hime is coming soon!

ZU Tiles: Hime is a strategic tile placement game based loosely on the creatures of the Chinese Zodiac. Players choose a creature (or creatures) to build customized decks around in order to out think and out play their opponent(s). Players earn points by creating patterns of “compatible squares” using creatures or by battling and capturing opposing creatures.

The first player to 12 points wins! Think Collectable Card Game meets Dominoes…but with anime inspired art and tile interactions. Build your deck based on animals of the Japanese Zodiac and fight your opponent…with cuteness! Complete squares of four compatible tiles to score victory points, and outsmart the competition with special actions, tricky tactics, and unique tile abilities to win!

ZU Tiles: Hime starter set 1 is available June 1st, 2022 from Japanime Games!

Naruto: Ninja Arena is Ready for Battle

Naruto: Ninja Arena is a competitive, fast-paced game all about simultaneous dice rolling for 2-6 players, ages 10 and up coming soon for pre-order from Japanime Games. You and your opponents all take on characters in the Naruto universe battling it out in real-time to be the last ninja standing. Take control of your favorite Chuunin Exam Hidden Leaf characters and fight to survive!

Every character has their own abilities and each player has their own dice pools. As a round starts, all players roll their dice at the same time, trying to match symbols on their dice based on what character abilities they have (as seen above). As players activate abilities, they will mark their opponents for potential, future damage. Once a player has correctly collected the necessary symbols for their ultimate, special ability, they’ll slap an Uzumaki spiral in the center of the board to signify this, and the damage is dealt.

In this brief pause, the player who slapped the spiral last will take extra damage and the players will resolve the effects. This damage is applied based on the markers distributed by players activating their abilities.

Japanime Games

Japanime Games has announced the addition of Japanime Digital, their Imprint dedicated to bringing our tabletop games to a wider, digital audience.

Conceived to coincide with the release of Tanto Cuore‘s 10th Anniversary edition, Japanime Digital has been busy working on bringing Tanto Cuore to the digital format as their very first project built from the ground up. Coinciding with the 10th Anniversary of Tanto Cuore, Tanto Digital will also be launching in tandem. The move coincides with Japanime Games working on several new tabletop games based on Japanese video games, which will be announced in the coming months.

The next big project for Japanime Digital is planned as Kamigami Battles.
