Built using the ENnie Award-Winning Kids on Bikes framework, it is a rules-light, narrative-first storytelling game perfect for new players and gaming veterans alike!
Kids on Brooms is out August 2020 and the 100-page full-cover softcover book is for ages 12+ and 2-6 players. It retails for $25. Designed by Jonathan Gilmour, Doug Levandowski, and Spenser Starke, it features art by Heather Vaughan.
Renegade Game Studios has partnered with Hunters Entertainment and Infectious Play Publishing for a new roleplaying game. Teens In Space is landing everywhere in August 2019!
The game is designed and developed by Jonathan Gilmour and Doug Levandowski. The roleplaying game sets the stage as you and your group of friends venture into the cosmos for adventure and profit. Along the way, your crew’s bonds will be tested, your ship will malfunction, and you’ll probably get shot a few times. But that’s all in a day’s work for Teens in Space!
Player characters will take on the roles of adolescents of a variety of species at the age of nearly full maturity. Closing near their full physical and intellectual potential they lack experience and wisdom. You’ll travel the stars in a customized starship of your own design. Through your adventures, you may discover many things about the galaxy you inhabit. You’ll also discover more about yourself at this formative stage just before adulthood.
Teens in Space is an all-in-one 122-page full-colored book. It features art by Heather Vaughn and with sections for both players and GMs. The game is powered by the Kids on Bikes system. That creates a streamlined world-building and storytelling experience. This game is optimized for crews of 2-6 players aged 8+ with a dedicated storyteller at the helm.
IDW Games has announced the Wayward Board Game – Signature Edition, based on the comic series world by Jim Zub and Steven Cummings, with new art by Cummings and game design by Jonathan Gilmour. Wayward presents players with a highly thematic threat management game and multiple unique and challenging scenarios that push them to take risks, and, in return, grant their characters more powerful abilities and items.
Wayward is a cooperative board game for 1-5 players where each player takes on the role of a teenager with newfound supernatural abilities. The next generation of the supernatural has emerged in Tokyo, and these teens are fighting for their survival and to prevent the Weave – the hidden threads of power and destiny that guide our world – from unraveling. These “wayward children” threaten the old order and the creatures and spirits known as the Yokai are determined to eradicate them before they are usurped. Players choose one of five different scenarios to play, each with its own unique rules and challenges, to defeat the Yokai and destroy their places of power.
Wayward Board Game – Signature Edition will be available on Kickstarter for pre-order in February 2019 for $70.00 and will include exclusive upgraded packaging, miniatures sculpted by Ninja Division, and bonus character with scenario.
Prior to the campaign, fans attending PAX Unplugged (Nov. 30 – Dec. 2) will have the opportunity to demo the game at IDW Games booth #3148.
