Game Theory Tables Launches The Origins on Kickstarter

Game Theory Tables might be a new company but it’s the same team that operates BBO Poker Tables, a prominent poker table brand in the US for the past 15 years. They’re now moving into other types of games with The Origins, a new entry in the game table space.

The Origins is currently being funded through Kickstarter and is available in the US, Canada, EU, and UK.

The table measures 72″ x 48″ x 32″ with a playing surface of 61″ x 37″ in a recessed space of 4″. It can set up to 8 and can be used as a game table and “dining table” with the additional top that needs to be added on for $499.

The table comes with a neoprene mat and the table itself features a choice of colors. The Origins table is made from solid ash wood.

The Kickstarter also features exclusive add-ons like a dice tower and tiered tray.

Each item is discounted with the table being 35% off and also features free shipping in the US.

With an established company behind it, this game table company might be the mass market breakthrough that’s been looking for someone to fill it. There have been some busts of projects by other companies in the space so here’s rolling the dice this one comes through.

The table is available in two waves, with the first expected to ship in August 2021.

You can back the table for $1,499 and the campaign ends on February 19 at 11pm. It’s already been funded so it’s a guarantee to make it that far.

TinkerTurf’s Next Full Color Wargaming Terrain Kickstarter Is Live!

In early 2018 TinkerHouse Games launched a Kickstarter creating affordable, great looking, easily assembled, full-color terrain for tabletop miniatures games and successfully delivered to all backers to critical acclaim. Now TinkerTurf is back with more full color easily assembled wargaming terrain with an aim to help you populate your table with beautiful structures so you can enjoy more time gaming and less time painting!

The best action scenes feature giant structures with extreme verticality. TinkerTurf is bringing that kind of blockbuster drama to your tabletop with the TinkerTurf Sci-Fi Release 2.1. The enormous SatComm Installation is worthy as the climactic set-piece location for any action franchise (RIP Arecibo). The MagLev Rail Starter creates an elevated battle space and adds a dynamic element to rail lines; it can be used standalone or in conjunction with the MagLev components from our previous release. Protect these strategic assets (or form an unforgiving arena enclosure) with the modular Perimeter Bundle, featuring a functional gate that opens and closes. The release is rounded out with new Tanker and Crate Containers, sized to fit onto the rail cars and work with our previous containers.

The TinkerTurf Sci-Fi Release 2.1 Kickstarter campaign runs from January 18th, 2021 until February 12th, 2021; and features backer levels from $20-$220 including a limited number of “Early Bird” special bundles.

Pinnacle Entertainment Group and Paizo have announced Pathfinder for Savage Worlds in a surprise revelation. The project will be launched in January 2021 on Kickstarter with a boxed set and will see a retail release later in 2021.

A separate purchase of the Savage Worlds core rules (SWADE) is not necessary to play.

The Pathfinder for Savage Worlds boxed set—as typical for Pinnacle Entertainment Group—will include the core rulebook as well as other elements of game play for Savage Worlds like Bennies, Action Deck, Templates, Game Master Screen with adventure, Powers Cards, and more.

For the Kickstarter planned to launch in January 2021, a Boxed Set for Rise of the Runelords with all six books of the Adventure Path provides starting adventures for many gaming groups who have not yet visited the town of Sandpoint.

Reality Shift is a New 3D Racing Board Game That Defies Gravity

Reality Shift

Race, Hack, and Win in Reality Shift, the new 3D racing board game from Academy Games and Apollo Games.

Race to the finish along paths on the top and sides of the magnetic track cubes. Hack the track to shift a cube to change the paths to the finish or to crush an opponent. Win by using cunning strategy to be the first to the finish.

The goal is to move your light bike along the paths from cube to cube and be the first to make it across the finish line. You’re not constrained by gravity and the magnetic figure allows any accessible path to be used on the top and sides of the cubes.

Movement is gained by rolling the Movement Die and playing Action Cards from your hand. It’s not just about being fast enough, there’s also strategy. You can also play cards to move a Reality Cube creating a track that’s always shifting. Missing a path? Transform the board and create a path to the finish! Your opponent’s in the lead? Change the board to block their way or crush them with a cube.

Positioning is key as it can protect you from getting crushed and having to respawn.

Reality Shift forces you to be smarter and more ruthless rather than faster to win.

The Kickstarter is currently going on with $40 getting you the basic game and $55 getting you the basic game and stretch goals. The campaign runs until December 1 with a goal of $10,000.

Reality Shift is designed by Mat Hanson, Gunter Eickert is the Creative Director, James Schoch the Project Manager, Uwe Eickert is the Founder, Aldo Dominguez, the Artist, with a video done by Diego Melo.
