Gen Con 2023: Asmodee and Dark Horse team for statues, figures, art prints

Asmodee Entertainment has expanded of its partnership with sister company Dark Horse Comics to create quality licensed collectibles for three of Asmodee’s leading tabletop gaming properties. Using the beautiful artwork from the games, Dark Horse will produce limited edition premium statues, collectible figures, and fine art prints.

The first items are available to pre-order now exclusively from darkhorsedirect.com in limited quantities while stocks last. These include a map of Rokugan and a statue of Togashi Yokuni from Legend of the Five Rings which has been revealed for the first time at Gen Con this week, as well as an art print from Fantasy Flight Games’ Arkham Horror. As a pre-order bonus, consumers can benefit from a $25 discount when ordering the Togashi Yokuni Statue over the Gen Con weekend only. Twilight Imperium collectibles will be announced soon.

Asmodee Entertainment Announces a Partnership with SD Toys for Jigsaw Puzzles

SD Toys and Asmodee Entertainment have entered a licensing partnership to produce jigsaw puzzles for some of their largest IPs Dobble, Legend of the Five Rings, Terrinoth: Legends, Twilight Imperium, Arkham Horror, and KeyForge. This partnership is an example of Asmodee Entertainment’s push to expand its merchandise partnerships.

Featuring iconic artwork from some of Fantasy Flight Games and Zygomatic’s most popular games, jigsaw puzzles are in development for the mysterious, macabre Arkham Horror, the fantastical world of Terrinoth: Legends, the mystical, eastern-inspired Legend of the Five Rings, epic space opera Twilight Imperium, the colorful, madcap KeyForge and family gaming superhit Dobble. This release will mark the first time the beautiful and expansive universes of Legend of the Five Rings, Terrinoth: Legends, Twilight Imperium, Arkham Horror, and KeyForge will be represented as jig-saw puzzles. Allowing fans to engage with their favorite games in a new way!

Shop Legend of the Five Rings with a New Fan Shop

Legend of the Five Rings Shop

Asmodee Entertainment has announced that the Legend of the Five Rings fan shop – the first in a multiple-IP partnership with Event Merchandising (EML) Limited – is now open at Shop.LegendOfTheFiveRings.com!

As featured in Fantasy Flight Games In-Flight report at this year’s Gen Con event in September, the fan shop is a dedicated online platform offering specially designed apparel, accessories, and homewares such as pillows and mugs to fans and collectors worldwide. Legend of the Five Rings is the tale of the land of Rokugan and the rival samurai clans who fight with swords and magic.

At launch, fans can see merchandise designed around gorgeous art they might recognize from the games. EML designers have worked closely with Asmodee Entertainment and Fantasy Flight Games to design beautiful pieces that include art prints, tote bags, hoodies, notebooks, and more. Fans can share their love of the Legend of the Five Rings universe or announce their allegiance to specific clans as this initial launch also includes mini-collections for each of the Great Clans! The initial collections are now available on the site and fans can expect more exciting products to be added to the store regularly after launch.

Source Point Press and Asmodee Team for Comics Based on Legend of the Five Rings, Mysterium, and Pandemic

Source Point Press and Asmodee Entertainment have entered a licensing partnership to bring three of the most famous tabletop gaming universes of all time to the pages of comics! The best-selling game worlds of Legend of the Five Rings, Mysterium, and Pandemic are slated to make their first comic debuts starting in 2022.

Source Point Press is no stranger to bringing games to comics. The publisher has released comics based on the popular board game Gloomhaven by Cephalofair Games. They are also are publishing a comic based on the Winchester Mystery House. Its sister company, Deep Water Games, will release a game based on the infamous house as well.

Publication dates and creative teams will be announced at a future date, with all titles to be distributed by Diamond Comic Distributors, Simon & Schuster, and select game distributors.

Artovision and Asmodee Entertainment have entered into a licensing partnership to bring several of Asmodee’s fan-favourite properties to life through Artovision’s range of multi-dimensional art collectibles. Properties featured in the deal will include the omnipresent modern classic boardgame CATAN along with Fantasy Flight Games’ Arkham Horror, Twilight Imperium, KeyForge, and Legend of the Five Rings brands, known for their extensive library of high-quality
illustrations.

The cooperation will see artwork from these beloved properties produced as shadowbox and desktop artwork by the team at Artovision, bringing some of the brands’ most iconic pieces of art to life with a three-dimensional depth never seen before. Artovision’s shadowbox artwork combines four layers of full-colour art, each printed on optical grade
cast acrylic, and assembled within a durable high-quality finished frame to create astonishing visual depth. Fantasy Flight Games and Privateer Press Announce a Legend of the Five Rings MiniCrate Subscription

In collaboration with Fantasy Flight Games, Privateer Press has announced the launch of its second subscription box line—Legend of the Five Rings—under the MiniCrate banner, a service that delivers exclusive limited-edition miniatures directly to players and hobbyists every month. Based on the Legend of the Five Rings property and the recent hit Living Card Game from Fantasy Flight Games, the new MiniCrate subscription series will feature a range of characters from all of Rokugan’s clans.

The first miniature in the series will be the iconic Dragon Clan Champion, Togashi Yokuni. Yokuni was actually the very first Legend of the Five Rings character ever designed by Privateer Press’s founder and Chief Creative Officer Matt Wilson, when he helped create the original setting and card game for AEG over twenty-two years ago.

The MiniCrate Legend of the Five Rings program is offered as a monthly subscription service monthly ($16.99) or as a six-month VIP subscription ($98.99). Subscribers will have automatic rebilling to ensure there are no gaps in their subscriptions. Each shipment contains a single exclusive, limited-edition miniature and a corresponding Collector’s Card featuring the concept art that can only be acquired through the Privateer Press’ MiniCrate program. International costs will vary.

As a special bonus for six-month subscribers, Privateer Press also announced that members who sign up for a six-month MiniCrate subscription will receive a free bonus seventh miniature. Thereafter, with each six-month renewal, subscribers will receive an additional bonus miniature as part of their subscriptions. The first of these bonus minis for Legend of the Five Rings will be one of the fabled Naga Hunters.

Preorders begin this October, and the Togashi Yokuni miniature will be shipped in January 2019.

Each exclusive, limited-edition miniature created for MiniCrate will be produced one time in a single production run.
