Games Workshop Pre-Order Preview: Age of Sigmar, Black Library, Warcry, Aeronautica Imperialis, and Necromunda!

It’s a little bit of everything this coming week for Games Workshop‘s pre-orders. Black Library and Age of Sigmar get the highlights with the biggest releases of the week.

Drekki Flynt stars in his first full-length novel from Guy Haley The Arkanaut’s Oath! It’ll be available in hardback, ebook, and audiobook and there’s also a new miniature of Drekki Flynt too!

Cado Ezechiar and The Hollow King by John French is the other release. That too is accompanied by a miniature of the character. It’ll be available as a hardbook, ebook, and audiobook.

Arcane Cataclysm will be released for Warhammer: Age of Sigmar. It features the Lumineth Realm-lords taking on the Disciples of Tzeentch. The box set features two brand new miniatures – the Scinari Enlightener can share her pain with her enemies while the updated Curseling is a potent fusion (literally) of warrior and mage. Arcane Cataclysm includes five Vanari Bladelords, five Vanari Dawnriders, 10 Vanari Auralan Sentinels, three Tzaangor Enlightened on Discs of Tzeentch, 10 Tzaangors, and 20 Kairic Acolytes. There’s also a campaign booklet, 56-page core rulebook, token sheet, and warscroll cards.

The Skaven Deathmaster is an expert assassin and can now be purchased to attack with its weeping blade!

The Sylvaneth gets The Lady of Vines which can cut down foes with its spear.

Get scenery like the Krondspine Incarnate of Ghur, Cleansing Aqualith, and Megadroth Remains.

For Warcry, the Centaurion Marshal is an ally that any Chaos Warband can field. Or how about adding it to your Age of Sigmar Slaves to Darkness army?

Speaking of Chaos, there are also Chaos Legionnaires for Warcry. Age of Agimsar rules will be coming for them.

Then there’s the Warcry Compendium pulls together the fighter profiles and faction abilities for warbands from Grand Alliance Order, Grand Alliance Destruction, Grand Alliance Death, and Grand Alliance Chaos in a single grand tome. It features over 800 profiles.

Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Aeronautica Imperialis Rulebook is being released taking your battles to the Age of Darkness. This book provides the complete Aeronautica Imperialis rules and eight classic scenarios to play through, along with complete rules for the Legiones Astartes air fleets, the human pilots of the Divisio Aeronautica, and the Legio Custodes’ deadly Ares Gunship – allowing you to bring dogfights to life in the skies of the Horus Heresy.

You can recreate battles above Vanaheim with the Vanaheim Area of Engagement game board.

How about taking to the skies with the Ares Gunship and a Legio Custodes fleet?

Finally, there are Legiones Astartes Aircraft Cards and Divisio Aeronautica Aircraft Cards to help you keep track of things.

For Necromunda, get the Delaque Spyker which is part spy, part psyker, and all brain! It comes with a fighter card and is just an amazing model.

You can upgrade your Corpse Grinder Cult gang with the Corpse Grinder Weapons Set. There’s a selection of ranged weapons for your Initiates, including a savage harpoon launcher, and vicious close combat weapons for the rest of your gang, such as the rotary flensing saw and chain glaives. There’s also a grisly Cult icon to inspire your gang in battle.

From Black Library there’s Rogal Dorn: The Emperor’s Crusader which gets a limited edition release of 2,500 copies signed by author Gav Thorpe and more!

Blackstone Fortress: Ascension will be released in audiobook for the first time.

More books are being released in French and German including Ghazghkull: Prophet of the Waaagh!, Throne of Light, Luther: First of the Fallen, and Soulslayer.

Games Workshop’s 2021 Battleforces are Available Now

This year’s Battle Box releases are now available to order from Games Workshop! Each box retails for $210 which is a savings of about $50 per box.

There are four Battleforces for Warhammer: Age of Sigmar.

Ossiarch Bonereapers is commanded by a Mortisan Boneshaper and a Soulreaper, these immortal debt collectors include 20 Mortek Guard and three Necropolis Stalkers – or three Immortis Guard, if you prefer. A Gothizzar Harvester refashions errant bones into new constructs for the army, while the Mortek Crawler hurls the gift of caskets of screaming souls at besieged enemies.

Prepare for war with the Space Marines “Shieldbreaker Strike Force” Battleforce. It includes a Captain and his entourage of Bladeguard Veterans lead a balanced heavy infantry force of 10 Intercessors, 10 Assault Intercessors, and five Heavy Intercessors. Meanwhile, a fast and agile Storm Speeder Hailstrike is perfect for flanking enemy forces, or taking down hard targets when built either as the Hammerstrike or Thunderstrike variant.

The Adepta Sororitas “Purgatos Mission” has a Sister Dogmata commanding this force, which is composed of five Celestian Sacrosancts, 10 Battle Sisters, an Immolator armed transport, and a mighty Exorcist tank.

The Adeptus Mechanicus “Omnissiah’s Talon” features Five speedy Pteraxii, five stealthy Ruststalkers, and three Serberys Raiders make up the core of this battleforce, supported by the Ironstrider Ballistarii’s powerful cognis lascannons. Behind them marches a unit of 10 Skitarii Rangers and their Tech-priest Manipulus commander.

The Death Guard “Plaguefester Warband” features a Champion and Icon Bearer leading seven Plague Marines and three Deathshroud Terminators. Three Myphitic Blight-haulers and a Plagueburst Crawler cover their march.

Archmage Teclis adorns the cover of the next book in the Broken Realms saga. The Lumineth Realm-lords have taken the fight to Nagash and the Mortal Realms will never be the same.

Games Workshop Reveals the Hurakan Windchargers

Leaked photos made their way online recently and Games Workshop has responded with a better look at the Hurakan Windchargers for Warhammer: Age of Sigmar.

Hurakan Windchargers are Lumineth warriors who ride a kangaroo like animal, treerunners.

Also revealed is the Vanari Lord Regent, ready to lead the Lumineth cavalry.

Warhammer Underworlds Next Chapter Direchasm is Revealed

Warhammer Underworlds: Direchasm

The next season of Warhammer Underworlds has been revealed. During Games Workshop‘s online preview, the game company debuted Warhammer Underworlds: Direchasm.

Direchasm features new warbands, new cards, and new Primacy and Hunger rules. The new Primacy and Hunger mechanics allow you to build up bonuses, and the game rules have also been refined and streamlined even further. It’ll be a fresh challenge for players.

New to Warhammer Underworlds are the Lumineth Realm-lords – Myari’s Purifiers. The warband features four strong fighters each with their own strengths including magic, ranged attacks, and two different styles of melee.

They’ll be going against the Dread Pageant. These followers of Slaanesh also feature four fighters each with their own play styles. Their deck features ways to manipulate your own fighters and the enemy! They’ll also inspire when they inflict and receive wounds!

You’ll be able to dive even deeper into the world courtesy of Black Library and a new anthology book, Direchasm!
