Warhammer Fest 2023: This new diorama recreates The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring iconic scene

At Warhammer Fest 2023, Games Workshop has revealed a beautiful diorama that’ll soon be for sale recreating an iconic scene from The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.

It features Frodo and his companions hiding in a hollow-out tree as that nightmarish Ringwraith above attempts to find them.

The pieces also come apart allowing players to use the Ringwraith in games of the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game.

The Lord of The Rings Battle of Osgiliath is a brand new boxed set pitting the forces of Gondor against the forces of Mordor. Also included are 2 Warriors of Minas Tirith, 12 Rangers of Gondor, 24 Morannon Orcs, and a Mordor Troll. You’ll do battle among Gondor Ruins to create your own Osgiliath battlefield. Games Workshop Pre-Order Preview: Horus Heresy: Age of Darkness begins!

They said it was coming in June and Games Workshop is starting things early with an extended pre-order launch for Horus Heresy: Age of Darkness. The new “core” game launches this coming Saturday with a load of releases to go with it.

Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – The Age of Darkness launches with a box set packed with everything you need to start. It’ll be available in English, French, and German. Within the box, you get 54 plastic miniatures, enough for two forces or one giant one. It includes 2 Legion Praetors, 10 Cataphractii Terminators, 40 highly customizable Tactical Space Marines in Mk VI power armor, one Contemptor Dreadnought, and one Spartan Assault Tank. All the miniatures except the Terminators are new models.

Also features is a 336-page hardback rulebook, 36-page construction guide, introductory army lists, and two four-page rules reference sheets.

There’s also 20 six-sided dice, two blast templates, one flame template, two classic red plastic measuring sticks, and a transfer sheet.

If you order the set directly from the Games Workshop webstore, you’ll also get an exclusive reaction token and card set (while supplies last). That’s eight metal tokens and a deck of eight cards to keep track of the game’s six reactions and two advance reactions.

After weeks of teasing, the Tyranids are coming! The release of the army is the highlight for Games Workshop’s pre-orders next week.

You’ll need to get the new Codex: Tyranids which features all of the updated rules you’ll need to build your swarm. The book features 128-pages and is available in a regular and Collector’s Edition.

With a new codex comes a new miniature in the Parasite of Mortex. The bat-winged horror attacks the enemy with its razor-sharp claws but it’s the ovipositor tail you need to watch out for.

This year’s Battle Box releases are now available to order from Games Workshop! Each box retails for $210 which is a savings of about $50 per box.

Games Workshop has revealed this year’s new battle box releases and they’ll soon be available for order! There are four Battleforces for Warhammer: Age of Sigmar.

Nothing says Christmas like Vampires! The Revenant Legion has everything you need featuring 66 models including a bestial Vengorian Lord, five barded Blood Knights, 20 Deathrattle Skeleton warriors, and 40 Deadwalker Zombies!

The Hedonites of Slaanesh are led by a Shardspeaker and features three Slaangor Fiendbloods, ten Blissbarb archers – plus a lowly homunculus – and five Exalted Seekers which can be built as either Slickblades or Blissbarbs. Then there are ten elite warriors you can build as Mymirdesh Painbringers or frenzied Symbraesh Twinsouls.

The Lumineth Realm-Lords Battleforce features Vanari Auralan Wardens, Bladelords, Dawnriders, and a Starshard Ballista, all led by a Vanari Bannerblade and a Lord Regent, this is the perfect Tyrionic hammer for newly arrived Realm-lords.

Ossiarch Bonereapers is commanded by a Mortisan Boneshaper and a Soulreaper, these immortal debt collectors include 20 Mortek Guard and three Necropolis Stalkers – or three Immortis Guard, if you prefer. A Gothizzar Harvester refashions errant bones into new constructs for the army, while the Mortek Crawler hurls the gift of caskets of screaming souls at besieged enemies.

 There are six Battleforces for Warhammer 40,000 which will be available in December.

Prepare for war with the Space Marines “Shieldbreaker Strike Force” Battleforce. It includes a Captain and his entourage of Bladeguard Veterans lead a balanced heavy infantry force of 10 Intercessors, 10 Assault Intercessors, and five Heavy Intercessors. Meanwhile, a fast and agile Storm Speeder Hailstrike is perfect for flanking enemy forces, or taking down hard targets when built either as the Hammerstrike or Thunderstrike variant.

The Adepta Sororitas “Purgatos Mission” has a Sister Dogmata commanding this force, which is composed of five Celestian Sacrosancts, 10 Battle Sisters, an Immolator armed transport, and a mighty Exorcist tank.

The Adeptus Mechanicus “Omnissiah’s Talon” features Five speedy Pteraxii, five stealthy Ruststalkers, and three Serberys Raiders make up the core of this battleforce, supported by the Ironstrider Ballistarii’s powerful cognis lascannons. Behind them marches a unit of 10 Skitarii Rangers and their Tech-priest Manipulus commander.

The Death Guard “Plaguefester Warband” features a Champion and Icon Bearer leading seven Plague Marines and three Deathshroud Terminators. Three Myphitic Blight-haulers and a Plagueburst Crawler cover their march.

Rise from a slumber with the Necrons “Worldscour Legion”. A Psychomancer cryptek leads the force, with a unit of 10 Necron Warriors and three Scarab Swarms. Also included is a Lokhust Heavy Destroyer, three Ophydian Destroyers, five Flayed Ones, and two huge Canoptek Doomstalkers.

The Orks “Killdakka Warband” features five Nobz, 20 Boyz, and 10 Gretchin with their Runtherd handler, Da Boss on his Deffkilla Wartrike. Also included is a Big Mek with Shokk Attack Gun and a Dakkajet.
