Pathfinder for Savage Worlds is Coming to Kickstarter in January 2021

Pinnacle Entertainment Group and Paizo have announced Pathfinder for Savage Worlds in a surprise revelation. The project will be launched in January 2021 on Kickstarter with a boxed set and will see a retail release later in 2021.

The Pathfinder for Savage Worlds core rulebook will include an adaptation of the Savage Worlds game mechanics for players to make and evolve characters, and for game masters to create games of their own design, for play in Pathfinder’s world of Golarion. A separate purchase of the Savage Worlds core rules (SWADE) is not necessary to play.

The Pathfinder for Savage Worlds boxed set—as typical for Pinnacle Entertainment Group—will include the core rulebook as well as other elements of game play for Savage Worlds like Bennies, Action Deck, Templates, Game Master Screen with adventure, Powers Cards, and more.

For the Kickstarter planned to launch in January 2021, a Boxed Set for Rise of the Runelords with all six books of the Adventure Path provides starting adventures for many gaming groups who have not yet visited the town of Sandpoint.

Retail release of all items created in the Kickstarter is targeted for Q4 2021.

The Appalachian Horror RPG Holler Comes to Savage Worlds

Holler

Pinnacle Entertainment Group, creators of Savage Worlds and Deadlands tabletop roleplaying games has announced plans to develop the Appalachian Horror RPG Holler with Odd Bard Games and author Tim Earley

It’s a land of ghostly, shrouded mountains sealed off from the rest of the world, dominated by the schemes of madcap industrialists and their strange inventions, threatened by ecological collapse in the form of a toxic fog known as the Blight, and beset by a harrowing array of demons, cryptids, haints, and roguish fey.

Author Tim Earley pulls inspiration from Appalachia’s history of labor conflicts—the Battle of Blair Mountain, Bloody Harlan, the textile strikes of the 1930s—and fuses those complex, real world struggles with the folklore, legends, murder ballads and ghost stories that characterize the region’s abiding cultural richness.

Heroes are everyday folks in Holler: miners, moonshiners, granny women, holy rollers, bluegrass pickers, and roustabouts. Outmanned and outgunned by robber baron industrialists, Holler’s heroes must rely on their wits, ingenuity, kinship bonds, and hardscrabble toughness to win the day.

Pinnacle Entertainment Group kicks off interest in the Holler setting with a free online-only game convention, “Hollerween,” for Savage Worlds games October 29th-November 1st. Special livestream games, panels, and more are anticipated. Game Masters and Players can grab your badges now (use discount code “free”) to submit games and get notices when event registration goes live.

Deadlands—The Granddaddy of the Weird Western—is back with a New Edition

Pinnacle Entertainment Group, creators of Savage Worlds tabletop roleplaying game, is currently raising funds for a new edition of Deadlands, the award-winning Weird West roleplaying game.

These heroes travel the Weird West to drive back the evil that threatens to engulf the land and plunge it into mayhem and fear.

Kickstarter reward levels allow backers to join at a digital level, receiving PDF copies of the various Deadlands books and boxes available, or to pledge at higher levels to receive physical rewards including books, boxed sets, dice, cards, poker chips, and more.

The Kickstarter will run until May 12th and has already unlocked great new content for the Weird West, with more exciting reveals planned.

The Kickstarter is available now until September 27th 2017!

When playing tabletop RPGs, there are lots of different actions you can take. This can be daunting for new players. Take out the guess-work and confusion. Our Action Cards provide an easy reference. Use them as a general guide or play them onto the table during your turn.

Remembering all your character specs and keeping them up to date can get tricky, especially when they keep changing during a fight! Our Player Dry-Erase board has everything you need to track your damage, death saves or wounds, and other notes. It’s specifically designed to streamline combat and quickly provide relevant information. Change it as many times as you need in your encounters. Level up your gameplay with our Player Dry-Erase Board.

Are you spending more time hunting for the right type of die than actually playing? There are lots of different dice in role-playing games. Quickly find the right one by using our dice system. We’ve designed a color-coded set that makes it easy to pick the right die every time. It’s great for both new players and seasoned players in order to quickly find the right die. Get multiple sets to make rolling damage rolls even easier.

Because rolling dice is a such core part of any role-playing game, you need a place to roll that can keep the dice on the table. We are making a special laser-engraved dice box for this kickstarter. It doubles as a storage container to keep all of your player kit components. Remove the lid and use it as a dice tray.

The Goon and Fear Agent Come to RPGs

Pinnacle Entertainment Group has launched two Kickstarters running simultaneously for the pulp scifi setting Fear Agent and “zombie Noir” The Goon comics. Both were funded in less than 90 minutes and have already passed numerous stretch goals!

The Goon RPG for Savage Worlds

Multiple Eisner-award winning comic The Goon pulls no punches when Goon starts swingin’—usually at the chug-heads, changelings, and snake-riddled rival gangs what get in his way. Now your strangers, weirdos, and ne’er do wells can join his crew, make Lonely Street a bit less zombified, and even save the Town in the dramatic Plot Point Campaign “From Hell’s Heart We Bite at Thee!”

The Goon was created by Eric Powell and published by Dark Horse Comics.

Fear Agent RPG for Savage Worlds

The Earth is decimated in an alien invasion—then the “backwards” survivors are invited to join the United Systems as a sort of half-hearted apology. Just like the star of the comics, the “Last Fear Agent” Heath Huston, your heroes are stuck cleaning up the mess in a planet-hopping, time-traveling, conundrum-unravelling journey against the strangest and weirdest aliens the Deep has to offer. And all with a few twists worthy of this phenomenal series!

Fear Agent was created by Rick Remender, Tony Moore, and Jerome Opeña, and published by Dark Horse Comics.

The Goon RPG and the Fear Agent RPG for Savage Worlds Kickstarters each offer a core book, GM Screen with adventure, Bennies, dice, and amazing miniatures sculpted by Bronze Age Miniatures. A copy of the Savage Worlds core rules is required to play ($10 at www.peginc.com).

If you are new to Savage Worlds, Pinnacle announced an Un-Stretch Goal: PDFs for Deadlands, Rippers Resurrected, The Last Parsec, and East Texas University. Digital or higher level backers on either Goon RPG or Fear Agent RPG Kickstarter get these PDFs for FREE after the Kickstarter. That’s a terrific way to get a feel for the variety of genres Savage Worlds can handle.
