SDCC 2016: Magic: The Gathering Promos and Exclusives

Wizards of the Coast has revealed the cool Magic: The Gathering promos you can pick up at San Diego Comic-Con. They have also released the details of Magic‘s presence in a Daily Magic Update from last week. If you’re planning to attend SDCC this year and want to pick up a promo, you should probably stick around and do a few of the other cool things they have in store.

Check out these amazing promos available at San Diego Comic-Con this year (and yes, they are foil)! The price at San Diego Comic-Con will be $99.99 plus tax, which should come out to $108.

SDCC 2015: Cryptozoic Entertainment Heads to the Convention with Demos and More!

CryptozoicCryptozoic Entertainment is heading to San Diego Comic Con 2015, July 9–12. Cryptozoic will be appearing at two panels during the convention as well as demonstrating games and participating in the Ghostbusters Mass Hysteria Event.

The first programming panel consists of in-depth insight into the Ghostbusters franchise.

Ghostbusters: IDW & Cryptozoic Entertainment – Friday, 7/10/15, 2 p.m. – 3 p.m., Room: 25ABC
Join us in celebrating 30+ years of Ghostbusters, the classic supernatural franchise that defined an era. Hear insight on the ongoing comic series by IDW Publishing, and see a demo of the successfully crowdfunded game by Cryptozoic Entertainment.

The second panel is about the process of creating a game from an expert’s point of view.
Cryptozoic Entertainment Games: Meet the Creators – Sunday, 7/12/15, 4 p.m. – 5 p.m., Room: 28DE
Cryptozoic Entertainment: Meet the Creators – Adam Sblendorio (VP of creative), Matt Hyra (lead game designer), and other seasoned game designers will share their secrets on how a game is designed and developed from start to finish. An amazing Q&A opportunity for aspiring game designers wanting to break into the business.

After each panel, members of the Cryptozoic team will also be on hand to answer questions from fans and press.

Game Demonstrations
Game demonstrations will be held at the Manchester Grand Hyatt, 4th floor – America’s Cup B-D, ThursdaySaturday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Games to be demoed include Ghostbusters: The Board Game, Attack on Titan, DC Comics Teen Titans Deck-building Game, Adventure Time: Card Wars, Epic Spell Wars of The Battle Wizards II: Rumble At Castle Tentakill, Spyfall and Naruto Shippuden Deck-Building Game. The Naruto Shippuden Deck-building Game will also be demonstrated and sold at the VIZ booth, #2813.

The Ghostbusters Mass Hysteria Event
The free Ghostbusters Mass Hysteria event is organized by the Real Tampa Bay Ghostbusters group. The event starts at 7 p.m. Friday, July 10, and will be held at The Werewolf restaurant/bar at 627 4th Ave., a few blocks from the convention center. The event will include Q&A’s, special guests, insider information and more. Cryptozoic Entertainment staff will be in attendance with a pre-production copy of Ghostbusters™: The Board Game to play.

Venue capacity is limited, first come, first serve for attendees. In order to secure your spot, arrive early. All ages are allowed until 9 p.m. then only 21 years old and up will be permitted entry.

SDCC 2014: Upper Deck's Appearance Will Be Legendary!

San Diego Comic-Con is under way and things are already buzzing. Upper Deck is heading to the show and you can find them at booth #307 in Lobby A with a variety of promotions exclusive for the convention.

As Upper Deck prepares to celebrate Hello Kitty’s 40th Anniversary with a new line of trading card products, the company will make four different promotional bags available to attendees for $10 each or $40 for all four. Each bag includes an exclusive San Diego Comic Con Hello Kitty promotional card and figure celebrating the pop icon through the decades – 1970’s, 1980’s, 1990’s and 2000’s – along with an Upper Deck Hello Kitty figure pack! Fans who purchase all four bags will also get a San Diego Comic Con exclusive black sparkle figure as a gift with purchase! Bags are limited to just 250 per day and will sell out! Additionally there will be a variety of Upper Deck Hello Kitty products for sale at show specials and free Hello Kitty temporary tattoos distributed to all fans. Even Hello Kitty herself will be making an appearance at the Upper Deck booth for photo opportunities with fans on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and again on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

The core comic fans however will love to check out the latest from Upper Deck on the gaming side of the business with the company’s popular Legendary™ deck building game available for purchase and to just check out. Key staff involved in the game development will be on-hand to discuss and share details on upcoming expansions of the game.

One of the most exciting opportunities for comic fans however will come on Friday and Saturday when renowned artist Joe Jusko will be appearing LIVE at the Upper Deck booth to sign free oversized cards featuring his artwork for a future product release. Joe Jusko will appear Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Saturday from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m and Sunday at 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and again at 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Additionally, artist Neal Adams will be signing some of his Upper Deck artwork at his booth in “Artist Alley,” so we encourage fans to drop in to check that out as well!

Those Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope Heroclix

This July Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope gets a combo DVD pack with some HeroclixStan Lee, Joss Whedon, Harry Knowles and Morgan Spurlock get immortalized in the game/toys.  The limited edition combo-pack will be available at comic shops and specialty stores in time for San Diego Comic-Con 2012, with a number of the sets being sold at the show itself at the NECA booth.

You better believe I’ll be picking this up and I’ll let you know how their battle with Batman, Superman, Avengers and X-Men goes.

Futurama Monopoly Unveiled at Comic Con

At Comic-Con, fans can catch a sneak peak of MONOPOLY®: Futurama Collector’s Edition designed by USAopoly and Futurama, on display at Fox Booth #4313. Even if you can’t make it to the show though, here’s a first look at the new game.

This marks the first time that Monopoly gets the Futurama treatment, thrusting the classic board game into the 31st century.
