The Command Division Supplemental Rulebook launches the division supplements for the game, which will focus on Starfleet’s six departments, with Operations and Sciences Division supplements to follow. The Beta Quadrant Sourcebook kicks off a line of four supplements about the Star Trek Galaxy, providing new mission ideas and character options for both players and Gamemasters. “Make it so,” with the Command Division Supplemental Rulebook, with lead writer Jim Johnson (Mirror Universe: Shards and Shadows, Strange New Worlds) providing a wealth of new material for characters in the command or conn departments, including information on Starfleet Command and the Admiralty. Players can explore a role in the Admiralty with a new style of play, focusing on large scale decision making that can affect whole fleets, with new rules for fleet battles and maneuvers. Expanded Social Conflict rules gives a new dimension to galactic diplomacy with more options for influencing opponents and social tactics. New player options for character creation include new Talents for the Command and Conn Disciplines, as well as a list of department related Focuses to help creating characters in the command division. Sixteen new Federation starships are available to crew, including fan favorites the NX class, Oberth class, Ambassador class, Nebula class, Steamrunner class, and Sovereign class, with spaceframe statistics for starship creation as well as new starship Talents for the 22nd century. The Gamemaster also has a whole host of resources, from advice on running Command focused campaigns, to a new selection of named NPCs and command and conn archetypes, including Lwaxana Troi, Sarek, and Curzon Dax. It will also offer players new alien species to choose from during character creation, from Benzites and Klingons, to Deltans, the Xindi, and Zakdorn.
