Scout Comics and The OP partner for games based on Scout’s IP

Comic book publisher Scout Comics & Entertainment is partnering with board game and puzzle publisher Usaopoly (The Op). Under this partnership, The Op will have a first look at all Scout properties for development into board games.

Scout features over 275 titles in their comic catalog as well as numerous projects in development for television and film. The deal opens up an opportunity for The Op to expand their game titles and re-skin their classic and popular games. Currently, the publisher features licenses that involve Disney, Marvel, and more.

The Op Partners with Asmodee for New Spot It! Games

Usaopoly (The Op) has announced that it has signed a licensing agreement with Asmodee to release licensed versions of Spot It!, a multi-award winning pattern recognition game that launched in 2010 to universal acclaim.

Also known as Dobble, the quick-playing family game is most recognized by its uniquely illustrated deck of 55 circular cards, each featuring eight various symbols. With always one symbol in common between any two cards, the game’s fast-acting objective is to be the first to spot a match and grab that card, prompting the next in the deck to be revealed, then quickly surveyed and claimed. Once the deck is depleted, the player with the most collected cards wins.

The Op is looking to release several Spot It! games this fall in North America with a $14.99 MSRP.

Hues and Cues is a new board game from The Op and Scott Brady where color references and examples are in the eye of the beholder. In the game, you test your color knowledge and guessing abilities. It’s a vibrant group party game of colorful communication where players are challenged to make connections to colors with words.

Using only one and two-word cues, players try to get others to guess a specific hue from the 480 colors squares on the unique game board.
