Games Workshop Pre-Order Preview: Cursed City’s Expansions return with a limited Made to Order

It’s a fairly quiet week coming up for Games Workshop‘s pre-orders. For those that missed them, there’s a new opportunity to get Warhammer Quest: Cursed City‘s expansions.

Nightwars and Nemesis are going to be made to order for a limited time. Between the 17th and the 27th of December only. There’s no limit on how many are available. To play Nemesis you’ll require a copy of Nightwars, but not vice versa.

Warhammer: The Horus Heresy is getting new items for Ultramarines and Thousand Sons. All of these products will be available on a Made to Order basis from 10am local time on Friday the 16th of December, until 8am GMT on Monday the 26th of December.

Ultramarines MKIII Shoulder Pads, Ultramarines MKIV Torsos, Ultramarines Veteran Helmets, and MKIII Veteran Torsos will be available to give your Space Marines a little bit of flair.

Thousand Sons MKIII Shoulder Pads will make it clear who your Space Marines are loyal to making them stand out on the battlefield.

If you’re looking to start or expand your Warhammer 40K forces, next week is a great opportunity with the release of this year’s Battleforce boxes.

Necromunda gets a load of releases to help you dominate the Underhive and Ash Wastes.

Escher Cutters will have you speeding across the ash wastes in skimmers. The kit includes four machines that Leaders, Champions, and Prospects can ride. Options include heads, hair, and a choice of twin-linked heavy stubbers, grenade launchers, or plasma guns.

Go all in with Escher and also get Escher Tactics Cards and Ash Wastes Dice. There’s one for vehicles and another for battles in the underhive. Each contain 18 Escher specific cards and eight blank cards. The Tactics Cards contain new cards to use in the ash wastes, while the Escher Gang Tactics set is a reprint of a previous set, and the eight Escher-themed dice are coloured in stylish purple with luxurious golden ink. You get three regular D6s, three Necromunda injury dice, an ammo die, and a scatter die.

Forge World will release Athera, Blade of the Matriarch. Escher gangs can petition her for help with her master-crafted chainaxe. Athera is accompanied into battle by her grumpy Caryatid, Stix, who has the prescience to help them both avoid harm.

There’s also the Escher Shivver and Apprentice Clan Chymist. They’re a pair of specific Hangers-on. One can see into the future and the other reduces the choice of Chem-Alchemy Elixirs. Or maybe even turn deceased Matriarchs and Gang Queens into Death Maidens!

Warhammer Quest: Cursed City has Arrived

Pre-orders for Warhammer Quest: Cursed City has opened. The latest stand-alone game from Games Workshop retails for $199 and is packed.

The game features 60 miniatures including 8 heroes, 42 hostile models, and 10 obhects. There’s of course a rulebooks, game tiles, cards, tokens, and so much more. Even better, the miniatures can be used in your games of Warhammer: Age of Sigmar.

In Warhammer Quest: Cursed City, you and your friends take on the role of a group of disparate heroes seeking fame, treasure, and glory on the streets of Ulfenkarn. Only by working together and balancing your strengths and skills can you hope to survive.

The co-operative board game can be played solo or with up to 3 friends.

Those who order directly from Games Workshop also will get the “Key to Ulfenkarn” while supplies last.

For those that want to learn more about the Cursed City, you can also get the book Cursed City in hardcover or special edition. The special edition runs $65 while the hardcover is $27. Each comes with rules for a 9th hero that can be used in the game. The special edition is limited to 1,250 copies and is signed by the author C L Werner.

Warhammer Quest Takes Us to the Cursed City

Warhammer Quest is back with Warhammer Quest: Cursed City. The new game brings more bloodsuckers to the Mortal Realms and takes us to the cursed city of Ulfenkarn.

The game features a revised and refined rules system building off of the previous Warhammer Quest releases, “Silver Tower” and “Blackstone Fortress.”

During their recent online preview, Games Workshop revealed the vampire hunter Jelsen Darrock and the villainous Gorslav the Gravekeeper.
