Adepticon 2022: Warhammer Underworlds: Harrowdeep The Exiled Dead Revealed

It’s Adepticon 2022 week and Games Workshop kicked it off with a preview of things to come. A new warband for Warhammer Underworlds: Harrowdeep was revealed during the evening, The Exiled Dead!

This new undead warband has been teased already and features a Necromantic Vampire who has been exiled for his experiments.

It’s a new take on zombies and walkers mixing in mad-scientist experiments with the classic zombie trope.

This warband is sure to be picked up not only because it looks and sounds awesome to play but for the kitbashing opportunities.

Blackpowder’s Buccaneers feature an ogre pirate, his gnobblar crew, and of course his pet parrot and a monkey… a monkey with a knife!

Out in 2022, this new warband features its own complete deck allowing players to jump right into the new Rivals format.

Warhammer Underworlds Plunges Into Harrowdeep for a New Season

At Gen Con 2021, Games Workshop revealed the next season of Warhammer Underworlds. Warhammer Underworlds: Harrowdeep plunges beneath the waves with a new starter featuring everything you need.

The new starter set features boards, cards, tokens, dice, and two warbands to begin the new season. Kruleboyz Orruks and Stormcast Eternals battle it out to start things off.

Coming from the swamp is the Da Kunnin’ Krew:

To oppose them are Xandire’s Truthseekers:

You’ll be able to use both warbands in Warhammer: Age of Sigmar as they come with rules for that game as well.

Harrowdeep is a shadowy location deep beneath the seas of Ulgu. A forgotten dungeon lies within where darkness reigns. The new location brings new rules of fighting in the Realm of Shadows and the shrouded part of the battlefield.

The box set also includes the new “Rivals format” making it more accessible. Pre-made decks are included to bring balance and allow players to jump right in. Championship format is still around and not going anywhere.

Warhammer Underworlds: Harrowdeep also features new cards including universal cards and Grand-Alliance-specific ones providing something new for veteran players.
