The 2023 Yu-Gi-Oh! World Champion has been crowned
The Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship (WCS) 2023 reached its thrilling conclusion on Sunday, August 6, at the Tokyo Big Sight (Tokyo International Exhibition Center) in Japan. The highly-anticipated tournament, returning for the first time since 2019, crowned World Champions in three different, closely fought categories.
In the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game (TCG) Main Event, Paulie Aronson from North America prevailed in the final, defeating Juan Mateo Augusto Renteria Pastor from Peru to take home the title of Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG World Champion 2023. The winner used a Dragon Link Deck to prevail 2-0 in a tense and exciting final.
The Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links final was hotly contested between Takagi and Yukoo, with Takagi winning 3-0.
The inaugural WCS for Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, a 3v3 team event, culminated in an electrifying tournament. The final saw Team 7 face up against snipehunters. It ended 5-3 in favor of snipehunters, with Josh, QuantalThink, and Emre becoming the first ever Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel World Champions.
