The Black Templars are Coming. Games Workshop Reveals the New Army Set
We knew the Black Templars are coming to Warhammer 40,000 and after some teases of new miniatures, we now have a look at the upcoming army box and what’s inside. Games Workshop has revealed the new set as part of its Gen Con 2021 celebration.
Debuting in October, the Black Templars Army Set is full of new miniatures and of course and the new codex.
The army set is packed with new miniatures, Marshall, the Emperor’s Champion, 10-man Primaris Crusader Squad, and Redemptor Dreadnought. That’s 12 out of 13 miniatures being brand new!
The Marshall features two head choices, a selection of weapons, and purity seals, lots and lots of purity seals.
The Crusader Squad is an update to classic Black Templar squads. Mixed with Primaris Space Marines are Primaris Neophytes, raw recruits who act as Initiates. It’s an update to the classic mix of Space Marines and Scouts the Black Templars have been able to take in the past. The kit also features a veteran Sword Brother to oversee the squad.
You’ll also get the Codex Supplement: Black Templars with the launch. This special edition features the classic John Blanche art featured on the Warhammer 40K third edition box set.
Also included is 28 datacards a transfer sheet with 226 decals for your to add iconography and heraldry.
