WizKids has announced the upcoming release of Gates of Mara, a new 2-4 player game from one of the designers of Flotilla!

In this fantasy game from designer JB Howell, players take on the roles of tribal leaders seeking to lead their people to prosperity. To do this, they will secure influence in each realm, enchant their tribes, collect elemental resources, and earn gate keys. Over the course of four rounds, players will position influential figures from their tribes around the realms and gates. At the end of each round, the player with the most Influence in each area stakes a claim on it, earning points if they have claims in a realm at the end of the game. Players can also earn points by enchanting their people, completing objectives, and collecting keys. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins!

Gates of Mara blends upgradeable worker placement with layered area-control mechanisms, all brought to life by the art of Nastya Lehn. You can lead reptilian dragonkin, the amphibious goblins, the insectoid antids, or the arboreal elves.
