The Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game Sees New Alliances Forged this Fall

This Fall is a time for fandom and friendship in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card GameKonami brings Duelists three new releases in November, each celebrating the history of Dueling, and each uniting familiar forces in new ways.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game Phantom Rage

The latest quarterly booster set, Phantom Rage, hosts a whopping 17 World Premiere cards, the most ever, reinventing fan-favorite strategies from the past, revamping them with more powerful cards, and forging surprising alliances! Phantom Knights and Raidraptors unite under a shared banner, with shared cards that can work in either strategy, or knit them together for something new. Enter battle with mighty new Raidraptors and Phantom Knights, unleash an incredible Rank-Up-Magic, and unlock a new Xyz Monster that offers unparalleled access to your Extra Deck! Huge strategies like Dogmatika, Melffy and the Infernoble Knights all get new cards, while quirky Decks like the U.A. and F.A. athletes, and even Prank-Kids get new support!

If you’re looking for something entirely fresh, a new band of Beast, Beast-Warrior and Winged Beast monsters align with furry friends from past themes, for a flurry of banishing and Link Summoning! A robotic tribe of Wyrms and Psychics load data to the Graveyard, building out computerized infrastructure for Synchro and Xyz Summons. And an elite team of Warrior monks work together to make countless Fusion Summons, relentlessly adding Spell and Trap Cards to your hand and unleashing an incredible Spell Card that fills your field with Tokens, then immediately Fusion Summons up to two times!

Phantom Rage is also packed with new cards that can fit in lots of different Decks, from a Level 8 Beast with 3000 ATK you can Special Summon anytime you’re outmatched on the field, to new Trap Cards that render your opponent’s freshest Summons useless, or shred their Extra Deck to pieces. Above it all stands a breathtaking new Xyz Monster you can Special Summon by overlaying any of your Xyz, so long as an Xyz Monster has battled. Once it’s out, this world-smashing Machine-type commands a devastating effect that sends every other card on the field to the Graveyard!

The past and the present unite when Phantom Rage arrives on November 6. The complete set includes 100 new and different cards: 50 Commons, 26 Super Rares, 14 Ultra Rares, and 10 Secret Rares. MSRP: $3.99 per 9-card pack.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game Maximum Gold

From there it’s a case of gritty to pretty: Maximum Gold arrives one week later, marking the first appearance of new Premium Gold Rares! The next evolution of Gold Rare technology, Premium Gold Rares feature golden outlines and borders to frame iconic art, while symbols like Level stars and Attribute icons glimmer and shine like never before. And that’s not all: over 100 cards appear as gold-lettered Rares, adding a touch of class to popular reprints.

Each box includes 4 Maximum Gold packs with 7 cards each: 5 gold-lettered Rares and 2 Premium Gold Rares, a total of 28 cards per box. Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game Structure Deck: Spirit Charmers

Structure Deck: Spirit Charmers draws together some of Dueling’s most loved characters in one strategy! In a new twist, you’ll find a variant artwork version of Hiita, Wynn, Aussa or Eria in each Structure Deck. Phantom Rage makes allies of themes like Raidraptors and Phantom Knights, while powering up popular strategies of yesterday and today! And finally, Maximum Gold brings together an awesome collection of competitive cards and re-envisions your favorites like you’ve never seen before.

The Charmers are huge in Dueling fandom, and now they’re taking center stage! Structure Deck: Spirit Charmers unites Hiita, Wynn, Aussa and Eria in one Spellcaster strategy, stealing away your opponent’s monsters and filling the field with their signature familiars. A new Spiritual Art Field Spell lets you negate the first monster effect your opponent tries to activate, so long as you control the right Spellcaster. And teamwork makes the dream work with a new Trap Card, Special Summoning a Charmer from your hand or Graveyard, then destroying any face-up card on the field if you control monsters with two or more different Attributes! Even better, you can banish it from your Graveyard to recycle a “Possessed” Continuous Spell or Trap and place it back on your field.

Awakening of the Possessed – Gagigobyte and Awakening of the Possessed – Rasenryu debuted in Dragons of Legend: The Complete Series. Now, two more “Awakening” familiars join the fight in Spirit Charmers: new, powered up versions of Aussa’s Nefarious Archfiend Marmot of Nefariousness and Hiita’s Inari Fire. And if that’s not enough, Spirit Charmers reprints cards that are great in any Deck, like Effect VeilerDark Ruler No More, and Solemn Warning.

Structure Deck: Spirit Charmers includes an entire 42-card deck that’s playable right out of the box. But Charmer fans will also find one exclusive new variant artwork version of Hiita, Wynn, Aussa or Eria in each box, foiled in a classic Ultra Rare finish! Each Structure Deck also comes with 1 of 5 Super Rare Token Cards exclusive to Structure Deck: Spirit Charmers, featuring new art depicting the day-to-day lives of the Charmers! There are even 5 different Deluxe Game Mats, featuring the same artwork as the Token Cards.

Structure Deck: Spirit Charmers arrives on November 20. Each box includes 1 of 5 Deluxe Game Mats and 42 cards: 35 Commons, 2 Super Rares, 4 Ultra Rares, 1 of 4 variant artwork Ultra Rares, and 1 of 5 Super Rare Token Cards. MSRP: $9.99 per box.
