Uno is testing out a redesign that updates the classic family card game so that it’s easier to play for colorblind individuals.

The new version is being sold directly from Mattel‘s website and instead of changing the colors, it adds ColorADD icons next to the numerals on the card.

ColorADD is a universal symbol for color blind individuals.

Some reports state that up to 8-9% of the population is color blind and with a minor tweak, Mattel has opened up their game to all of those individuals.
