Captain America Comes to Heroclix Online

Wizkids/NECA has announced that to celebrate the upcoming Fourth of July holiday, they’ve announced the addition of Marvel’s Captain America to HeroClix Online and a holiday celebration, offering players a chance to score a special in-game object starting Tuesday, July 3.

The new Captain America figures include over 25 new Single-Figure Boosters as well as five additional Limited-Edition figures which will be awarded as tournament prizes beginning July 3. Additionally, all new figures will become part of the Crossover Booster Sealed Tournament format.

To celebrate the upcoming holiday, a special box of fireworks in-game object, which can be used as an obstacle for or to attack opponents, will be awarded to all tournament participants Tuesday, July 3 through Wednesday, July 11.

HEROCLIX ONLINE ANNOUCES GIANT-SIZE X-MEN FAST FORCES

HeroClix Online developers today revealed six new upcoming figures from Marvel’s Giant-Size X-Men collection set to hit the server Thursday, June 7. The new figures will also be made available in physical Giant-Size X-Men Fast Forces products.

Giant-Size X-Men Fast Forces includes popular Marvel characters Professor X, Cyclops, Beast, Wolverine, Rogue and Iceman and can be used alongside all other Marvel figures and maps.

Codes for the virtual Fast Forces can be found in physical Giant-Size X-Men Fast Forces products starting Wednesday, May 30 and can be redeemed in game starting May 31.

HEROCLIX ONLINE INTRODUCES NEW TOURNAMENT FORMAT, FIGURES OF THE WEEK

Heroclix Online developers have alerted players of an all-new tournament format, Crossover Booster Sealed Tournaments, beginning on a rolling queue today.

Crossover Boosters (containing 10 single figures from a dynamic distribution) draw from all Modern Marvel sets currently available in game. Additionally, any Marvel figures included in the Figure of the Week promotions also have a chance to show up in the Crossover Booster.

The new tournament format using Crossover Boosters coincides with a special Figure of the Week promotion which makes Marvel Galactic Guardians figures Cardinal of the UCT, Replica, Cardinal Raker and Magus available for individual purchase today through May 30. All four figures will also become part of the Crossover Booster distribution immediately.

HEROCLIX ONLINE RELEASES NEW MARVEL CONTENT

Adds Over 70 New Figures to the Online Game

Hillside, N.J. & Cary, N.C.—May 10, 2012—Over 70 new figures today landed in the online digital transliteration of the popular board-based combat game, HeroClix Online. The new collection combines figures from two of Marvel’s famed  HeroClix sets, including Giant-Size X-Men .

Coinciding with the release of the new figures, players can also look forward to the launch of corresponding Sealed tournaments, in which one of 11 Limited-Edition figures will be awarded from the new collection.

The new figures are compatible with all other Marvel figures and can be used in Marvel tournaments and matches.

Provides Codes for Virtual Figures Within Physical Sets

Hillside, N.J. & Cary, N.C.—April 26, 2012— Wizkids/N.E.C.A., the makers of HeroClix Online today announced the arrival of the game’s latest Marvel collection, Marvel’s The Avengers , which adds 16 new figures to the online game and are also available through codes in physical sets.

Joining the current line-up of Marvel characters, Marvel’s The Avengers Starter Pack figures include Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Hulk.  Thor, Hulk, Nick Fury, Captain America, Iron Man, Agent Coulson, Skrull Infiltrator, Hawkeye, Tony Stark and Heimdall are also available as Single-Figure Boosters.

Offering players an alternative way to collect, free codes for the virtual Marvel’s The Avengers Starter Pack can be found in physical Marvel’s The Avengers HeroClix Starter Packs. Additionally, codes for individual, random, virtual Gravity Feed Singles can be obtained through physical Gravity Feed Single-Figure Foil Packs or Booster sets.

HEROCLIX ONLINE REVEALS UPCOMING MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS MOVIE COLLECTION

Hillside, N.J. & Cary, N.C.—April 16, 2012— Wizkids/N.E.C.A., the makers of HeroClix Online, a digital transliteration of the table-top game, today revealed the latest Marvel collection, Marvel’s The Avengers, to be incorporated into the online game. The collection, available as a Starter Pack and as Single-Figure Boosters on Thursday, April 26, will add over one dozen new figures for players to collect and will also be available via codes in physical sets starting this Wednesday, April 18.

Marvel’s The Avengers  Starter Pack includes six figures: Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Hulk. The pack joins Marvel’s Fantastic Four set as a starter option for new players.

Marvel’s The Avengers Single-Figure Boosters add another 10 figures, including Thor, Hulk, Nick Fury, Captain America, Iron Man, Agent Coulson, Skrull Infiltrator, Hawkeye, Tony Stark and Heimdall.

Additionally, beginning April 18, players and collectors can find codes for virtual Marvel’s the Avengers figures—both the Starter Pack and Single-Figure Boosters—in physical sets.

Hillside, N.J. & Cary, N.C.—April 11, 2012— NECA/Wizkids, the makers of HeroClix Online, today released their latest Marvel HeroClix collection, Galactic Guardians Fast Forces. The figures not only hit retailer shelves in physical form, but are available now in virtual format in HeroClix Online, adding six new figures to the online game.

New figures from the collection include Nova, Silver Surfer, Gladiator, Quasar, Beta Ray Bill and Ronan the Accuser and can be used with all other Marvel figures and maps currently in game.

HeroClix Online Showcases Marvel Galactic Guardians

HeroClix Online developers announced the next online set to be featured in the “Figure of the Week” program, in which two figures from an upcoming set are made available weekly for a limited, promotional price. The new set, from Marvel, showcases the upcoming Galactic Guardians collection and will run this Thursday, February 23 through Wednesday, March 21.

Not only will the figures be made available in advance of the full collection and at a promotional price, but they also offer a preview for players and collectors of the physical game as the physical Galactic Guardians figure sets will hit store shelves March 21.

Figure details for the first two weeks will be revealed on HeroClix fan site, HeroClix World and figures will be made available in the official HCO store.

HEROCLIX ONLINE ANNOUNCES NEW GREEN LANTERN DC COMICS SETS

Hillside, N.J. & CARY, N.C.—February 16, 2012—Developers of HeroClix Online, a digital transliteration of the popular combat-oriented tabletop game, today announced the addition of two all-new DC Comics sets, Green Lantern Gravity Feed and Green Lantern Fast Forces. The new characters add a total of 16 figures with varying stats and powers to the game – and kick-off a new “Figure of the Week” program by HeroClix Online.

The introduction of Green Lantern Gravity Feed, to be available as single-figure boosters, are the first figures available in the new “Figure of the Week” program, in which one or more figures from the set per week will be available for purchase at a limited-time promotional price. The Green Lantern “Figure of the Week” promotion will run today through March 21.

Figures in the Green Lantern Gravity Feed include Hal Jordan, Kilowog, Tomar-Re, Sinestro, Ganthet, Abin Sur, R’amey Holl, Salaak and Boodikka and can be purchased as single-figure boosters following the “Figure of the Week” promotion.

Figures in the Green Lantern Fast Forces set, available for purchase today, include Green Lantern, Kilowog, Tomar-Re, Sinestro, Guardians of the Universe and Abin Sur.

The new set, out now, is compatible with DC Comics constructed tournaments, casual matches and the existing Sciencells map.

Reintroduces set with new Stats and Powers

Hillside, N.J. & Cary, N.C.—February 14 , 2012—HeroClix Online today released a new Marvel set, Hammer of Thor Fast Forces with all-new stats and powers.

Hammer of Thor Fast Force figures include characters Thor, Fandral, Hogun, Volstagg, Asgardian Brawler and Loki, recharged with new powers. A special in-game object, Mjolnir, is also included in the Fast Force. 

Figures in the updated set are compatible with all other Marvel figures and can be used in Marvel tournaments and matches.
