It also features 44 cards containing an army rule card, a double-sided drone rules card, four Combat Patrol datasheets and 38 T’au Empire Datasheets. The Codex and cards come in a special cardboard slipcase with an elastic strap so you can tote them around to your games.

Rimelocked Relics breathes frosty new life into your warbands with special Rimelocked upgrades whose powerful abilities must be coaxed out with Thaw counters across the game. As this deck doesn’t come with any Gambit spell cards, it can be used by any warband in the game.

Rimelocked Relics

Rivals of the Mirrored City updates four classic warbands. Zarbag’s Gitz, Thorns of the Briar Queen, Mollog’s Mob, and Spiteclaw’s Swarm are all returning in the Rivals of the Mirrored City, which contains all four warbands and four new Rivals decks for each, featuring refined and updated cards.

Games Workshop World Championships Preview: Daggok’s Stab-Ladz bring new Kruleboyz to Warhammer Underworlds

There’s a new warband coming to the frozen tunnels of Deathgorge, Daggok’s Stab-Ladz! They have one goal, kill as many champions as they can to steal their knowledge and increase their kunnin’.

This new Kruleboyz warband brings something new to the tabletop.

Daggok’s Krule Kunnin’ reaction exemplifies his underhanded fighting style – allowing him to jab at enemies who are distracted by his Ladz – and also ties neatly into his Inspire condition. His herald, Hurrk Da Howla carries a horn that sounds out the Roar of Kragnos when blown, granting support for allies within two hexes.

Daggok’s Stab-Ladz have a tricksy little plot card which enables the use of Schemes – gambit cards which you play in the power step of one turn, to reap the rewards next turn. You play Schemes face-down making it difficult for your opponent to prepare for what’s to come. Schemes have a condition which when completed, allow you to score objectives!

Games Workshop Pre-Order Preview: Warhammer Underworlds and Warcry are on the way! Plus more Blood Bowl and a Bandai Intercessor!?

Games Workshop has revealed what’s going on pre-order next week. They’ll be on pre-order for two weeks maybe signaling a change in the process we’ve all come to expect!? It’s the second week in a row for that… On to what’s coming!

Warhammer Underworlds: Deathgorge takes you to the icy depths of Andtor, a network of frozen tunnels and caves that has entombed untold treasures – not to mention the souls of unlucky adventurers. There you’ll find both Idoneth Deepkin and daemons of Slaanesh. Deep in the boreal depths of the Deathgorge, Cyreni’s Razors and the Thricefold Discord are locked in a bitter battle.

The new core set for Warhammer Underworlds features two new warbands, two new Rivals decks, two universal Rivals decks, and everything else you need to play the ultimate competitive miniatures game.

Warhammer Underworlds: Deathgorge

Warhammer Underworlds: Starter Set is a great way for beginners to get into the game. It’ll be available from select retailers. It’s on sale from Saturday the 7th of October, and differs slightly from the current Warhammer Underworlds: Starter Set. It contains two warbands – Ironsoul’s Condemnors and the Sepulchral Guard – as well as their Rivals decks and everything else you need to play. The set is made for new players, running through how to play with an example game before you tackle a full game yourself.

Warcry: Hunter and Hunted is a new type of release for Warcry. The Wildercorps Hunters are currently following the ogors’ foul scent with the aid of their loyal Trailhounds – but unluckily for them, they’re perfectly snack-sized for the Gorgers. This new Warcry set features two warbands and an eternally hungry Mawpit.

Warcry: Hunter and Hunted

Warcry: Kruleboyz Monsta-killaz kill, and capture these savage beasties to keep the stinking stables of the Beast-breaka tribes stocked. When out on the hunt, they employ tamed Gnarlwood Howlaz to flush out their quarry and dispatch surreptitious Klutcha-grots to steal the goodies.

Warcry: Kruleboyz Monsta-killaz

Warcry: Vulkyn Flameseekers have no mercy to those who threaten to harm the free-roaming Magmadroths– though they won’t hesitate to put down any ‘droths that have become unstable.

Warcry: Vulkyn Flameseekers

Ravaged Lands: Scales of Talaxis is new scenery for Warcry. These ruins are dire reminders of the catastrophe that once struck this place, and still pulse with cosmic power, setting the mire around them alight with crackling arcane energy. They’re also just right for fighters to leap off and dramatically stab unwary foes.

You can use this set to build a new Warcry battlefield or expand your Gnarlwood Watchcamp with new pieces of ruined stonework and strangling briars, plus a double-sided gaming board, terrain cards to help you decide on a layout, and a Warcry token sheet.

Ravaged Lands: Scales of Talaxis

Originally released for Warhammer Underworlds, these warbands all have rules in Warhammer Age of Sigmar, and are getting a standalone release in grey plastic without their cards. The warbands are the Gorechosen of Dromm, Hexbane’s Hunters, The Shadeborn, Blackpowder’s Buccaneers, Da Kunnin’ Krew, Skittershank’s Clawpack, The Exiled Dead, and Xandire’s Truthseekers.

White Dwarf 493 features new rules for a Warhammer Age of Sigmar narrative campaign, as well as new scenarios, and painting and gaming advice. The Warhammer 40,000 Tale of Four Warlords continues alongside Crusade rules for the Tome Keepers, while Warcry gets a dose of Courage and Cruelty with quests and artefacts for the Vulkyn Fyreslayers and Kruleboyz Monsta-killaz, and you can whet your appetite for the upcoming Legions Imperialis in an early battle report.
