Batman: Gotham City Chronicles… the Roleplaying Game!

Monolith has danced around the details about it, but their Batman: Gotham City Chronicles is getting a roleplaying game! Batman: Gotham City Chronicles: The Role Playing Game has been revealed the celebrate Batman Day!

The folplaying game will be a D20 System and features 5 books:

  • Gotham’s Heroes by François Verstraete – A fully adapted D20 System Rulebook
  • Gotham City Guide by Xavier Fournier and Alex Nikolavitch, helped by François Hercouët, editor for the French publisher of DC Comics. A mighty reference tome, detailed and exhaustive, an insight into the City and the world of the Bat.
  • Gotham’s Chronicles by Nicolas Texier, Olivier Caïra, and Mahyar Shakeri – A book of scenarios to test your resolve.

There will also be two campaign settings books that will be revealed during the Kickstarter.

The roleplaying game allows players to play as the city’s vigilantes and criminals as well as their own creations. You can even play as a Gotham City Police officer ready to take the call.

This isn’t the only Batman-related project from Monolith. Also announced today is Season 3 of the Batman: Gotham City Chronicles board game with more details to come.
