Monolith has uploaded a new banner image on their social networks giving the date of when Batman: Gotham City Chronicles goes live on Kickstarter. The board game will be available February 27 at 3pm EST/9pm GMT and is an exclusive through the crowdfunding site.

The game company has been posting a lot of teaser images for the board game that features impressive miniatures bringing many iconic comic characters to life.

Whats been shown so far has been impressive and the miniatures have looked fantastic at conventions. Check out below for some of what’s been shared by the game publisher.

The DC Universe Miniature Game is a recent release and “reskin” of the Marvel Universe Miniature Game which they’ve dubbed the “Super Hero Universe.” It’s first released featured Batman v Superman versions of DC’s trinity of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman from the DC Universe Miniature Game

While the details for the DC Universe Miniature Game are scarce we have a good look at some of the Wonder Woman, Superman, and Batman miniatures that will be released for the game.

Published by Knight Models, the game looks to use the same system as the Marvel Miniature Game, which means potentially you’ll be able to have Superman and the Hulk duke it out.

We’ll have more information as it’s released.

FCBD 2016: Dice Masters Free Comic Book Day 2016 Batman: Terror of Crime Alley

Free Comic Book Day is a yearly event taking place the first Saturday of May and a fantastic celebration of comics (and general geekdom). Each year millions of free comics are given away and often other companies get in on the fun with comic related giveaways/promotions. Wizkids have been taking part for years now, and this year is participating with a promotion for their popular Dice Masters game which features comic characters and properties from DC Comics and Marvel (as well as Yu-Gi-Oh and Dungeons & Dragons).

This year’s promotion features a Batman card which is attached to some starters (and stores will determine how they want to sell/give away those starters). The card, Batman: Terror of Crime Alley, features an image from the classic Batman TV Series (of which Heroclix, also by Wizkids, will be getting a convention promo also based on the tv series). There is also a blank variant, which is perfect to have your favorite comic artist sketch their take on the classic character.

The card is a variant for the Batman: Terror of Crime Alley card featured in the DC Dice Masters: World’s Finest set which came out in mid March.

You’ll possibly be able to get your copy May 7, 2016.

Knight Models adds Animated Batman, Catwoman and more to Batman the Miniature Game

Knight Models continues to crank out some impressive figure for their Batman the Miniature Game. They recently announced an expansion of their game line based on Batman the Animated Series, and the first two figures have been released.

New to the game are a Batman and Catwoman based on Batman the Animated Series. Also released for the game is Katana, Black Manta, a Militia Gattling Brute (for the Scarecrow’s gang), and The Riddler’s Mech (yes a bit odd unless someone can point me where this happened).

Check out this video of my first impression of Batman the Miniature Game.

Holiday Gift Guide: Batman the Miniature Game

I love my comics and I love my games, and Knight Models have given us the opportunity to mix the two with their Batman the Miniature Game.

The game which uses miniatures that are 30-40mm in scale allows you to play as Batman, his allies, and some of his greatest villains too.

I discuss the rulebook, a bit about the game, and show off some of who you can play as.

This is a great gift idea for individuals into comics and miniature wargaming.

You can get some of the miniatures at Amazon.
