Pathfinder and Starfinder Community Content is Coming to Roll20

Pathfinder Infinite

Roll20

Roll20 and Paizo Inc. have announced they’ve reached an agreement to support Pathfinder Infinite community content officially on the Roll20 virtual tabletop.

Pathfinder Infinite launched in 2021, allowing fans of the Pathfinder and Starfinder roleplaying games to publish their own adventures and game supplements for other fans of the games.

With this new agreement regarding Pathfinder Infinite, community creators will be able to convert or create content for play on the Roll20 virtual tabletop. Starting in February, they will be able to sell that content directly on the Pathfinder Infinite site so that it unlocks for users on Roll20, providing additional value for both creators and fans on both platforms. Creators can begin preparing content on Roll20 now in anticipation of the February launch.

Earlier this year, Roll20 and OneBookShelf announced their new joint venture, and since October of this year, both companies have been operating as one. The Roll20 virtual tabletop provides a full suite of easy-to-use digital tools so players can build characters and run campaigns seamlessly through their web browser. Through its family of premiere online marketplaces, Roll20 has been selling digital and print-on-demand roleplaying games, war games, comic books, and fiction since 2001.

Dungeon Masters Guild content can officially be created for the Roll20 virtual tabletop

Roll20

Roll20 has announced that Dungeon Masters Guild content can officially be created for the Roll20 virtual tabletop beginning in January of 2023.

Starting in February, creators will be able to sell Roll20 content they’ve created via the DMsGuild site. Modules, Art Packs, Token Marker Sets, content Packages, and Addons sold this way will unlock for users automatically on the Roll20 VTT when purchased on DMsGuild, allowing immediate online play without the additional set-up work.

This development fulfills a promise from June of this year: Now thousands of talented DMsGuild creators will be able to make and sell their D&D content not only in digital PDF and print formats, but also built specifically for the world’s most popular VTT. The door has been opened for casual hobbyists and part-time enthusiasts to transition fully to career game creators.

Wardlings Comes to Roll20

Wardlings Roll20

Renegade Game Studios has announced a new partnership with Roll20, beginning with today’s release of the Wardlings Campaign Guide for the Roll20 platform.

With a new Adventure Module featuring new custom maps, a charactermancer-compatible Compendium expansion, and a player token and handout pack, Roll20 now has everything a group needs to start playing Wardlings online.

Wardlings is a 5th Edition-compatible campaign setting, based on WizKids’ pre-painted miniatures line, where the youth are the only ones capable of perceiving and interacting with the magic of the world. It provides a great entry point in to roleplaying for ages 10 and up.

Roll20 is an online service that makes it easy to play your favorite roleplaying games remotely. It provides a shared virtual tabletop, a variety of communication tools, and access to a marketplace filled with content for your favorite system.

This is just the start of a new collaboration between Renegade Games and Roll20. In the coming months, there are plans to bring additional Renegade RPG lines to the platform.

The ALIEN RPG Spawns on Virtual Tabletop Platforms. Game NOT Over Man!

Alien The Roleplaying Game

“I can’t lie to you about your chances, but … you have my sympathies.”

Space is vast, dark, and not your friend. Now you and your crew can explore the ALIEN universe through virtual tabletop gaming. The award-winning official ALIEN RPG was launched today on two VTT platforms: Roll20 and Fantasy Grounds.

At Roll20, you can find a virtual tabletop version of the ALIEN RPG Starter Set, including all the rules you need to play and the full-length cinematic scenario Chariot of the Gods, written by scifi author Andrew E.C. Gaska. On the platform, you can also find the scenario Destroyer of Worlds, a sequel to Chariot of the Gods also written by Gaska and requiring only the Starter Set to play.

On Fantasy Grounds, you can find the ALIEN RPG core rulebook, a full conversion of the hardcover book of a massive 392 pages, as well as the Chariot of the Gods and Destroyer of Worlds scenarios.

All modules are fully integrated with the VTT platforms, with online maps and diagrams, player handouts ready to share, online character sheets, customized virtual dice roller, and more.

The core rulebook for the official ALIEN roleplaying game was released in December 2019 in partnership with 20th Century Studios. The game immediately sold out its first print run and swiftly entered the Top-5 list of best-selling tabletop RPGs in the fall of 2019. It won the ENNIE Award for Best Game 2020 and the People’s Choice Award for Best RPG at the UK Game Expo. The game is currently being translated into seven languages.

Roll20’s 5th Annual Roll20Con Starts October 23

Roll20Con

Roll20 is gearing up for the fifth annual Roll20Con on Friday, October 23 through Sunday, October 25. It’s an event all about gaming for a cause – three days of streaming, to be exact. Roll20 is once again celebrating the online TTRPG (tabletop role playing game) community with panels, discussions, and plenty of gaming. The first RPG built from the ground-up for Roll20 by Roll20, Burn Bryte has some surprises to share, too.

In partnership with Code2040, an organization dedicated to ending racial disparity in the tech industry, Roll20 will be matching community donations up to $50k during this weekend-long event. Fans can learn more about Code2040 and donate through the Tiltify campaign.

Dimension20 is headlining Roll20Con 2020, with their comedic D&D showtime slated for Saturday at 6pm PST. Other spotlights include Rivals of Waterdeep, Honey & Dice, Critical Role, Pixel Circus, Burn Bryte streams with lead designer James Introcaso, big Roll20 Announcements for 2021 and more. The full schedule will be available soon.

Also new this year; demos from numerous publishers, featuring games – like D&D Adventurer’s League, Pathfinder, Starfinder, Call of Cthulhu, Outbreak, Altered Carbon, Kids on Bikes, Alice is Missing, Alien, Thirsty Sword Lesbians, Monster of the Week, Fate, and more – that showcase some of the new digital ways to play games online. While social distancing has forever impacted traditional “game nights”, new tools and innovations are helping connect players (and creators) in better ways than ever.
