Games Workshop Pre-Order Preview: Orks and Adeptus Custodes invade Warhammer 40K

It’s a packed pre-order week for Games Workshop‘s Warhammer 40K which sees two armies being released. Orks and Adeptus Custodes both get their codex releases as well as boxes to help start or expand your force.

The Orks are here for Waaagh! with their 10th edition codex. You can get the regular or Collectors Edition and both feature the rules you need, background, and a painting guide. The codex has 51 Datasheets, 6 complete Detachments, new Crusade tools, and a Combat Patrol. The Collectors Edition is strictly limited in number, and arrives with unique artwork, a ribbon bookmark, and green foil accents.

If you need to start your Waaagh!, there’s the Battleforce: Stompa Boyz. It features 10 Ork Boyz, 10 Loota Boyz (who can be built as Burna Boyz), a Trukk, and a Stompa.

Or, there’s the Combat Patrol: Orks. It features a Beastboss, 20 Beast Snagga Boyz, and 4 Squighog Boyz.

And finally, show off your loyalty with Ork Datasheets and Dice. The Dice Pack contains 16 six-sided dice cast in swirled green plastic with white pips, while the datasheet cards collect all of the unit and Detachment rules you need into 55 quick-reference cards.

Also coming is Codex: Adeptus Custodes. It features 4 thematic Detachments, 18 datasheets covering the primary fighting force of the Adeptus Custodes, and Crusade content. Get the regular or the Collectors Edition which features a gilded soft-touch cover, and is strictly limited in number.

Battleforce: Auric Champions features the brand new Shield Captain, 5 Wardens, 6 Allarus Terminators, and 6 Vertus Praetors.

For Warhammer: The Horus Heresy is the Baal Predator Upgrade Pack. The pack contains a twin-linked Iliastus assault cannon for the turret – which can replace the regular Predator cannon at no cost – and a pintle-mounted version for any of your hatch gunners, with the arms and mounting brackets needed to use them.

Also coming is the Armoury of the Blood Angels. his pack contains three Umbra-pattern boltguns, an inferno pistol for each of the right and left hands, an Ilastus-pattern assault cannon, and one of each of the Legion’s famed Perdition weapons – a spear, an axe, a sword, and a mace.
